It's slowly fitting my head. The problem with this hat is that it's prestigious and not a thing to wear daily. It's taking time (which I have) to become like a good fitting glove. I wore it the other day and felt stately coz everyone wants to touch the damn thing (PLEASE BUY YOUR OWN HAT). No wonder Churchill bulldusted the world...the hat puts you on a pinnacle. GREAT GREAT HAT.

This Homburg hat from Jaxon Village Hats is exactly, I repeat - exactly, according to the description on the website. I have only one, tiny quibble about it and that is that being a larger than average person naturally I bought a large sized hat to replace my old one but my old one, also a large sized one, had a slightly higher crown to take account of the obvious fact that larger people tend to be larger all over. However, this new hat from Jaxon has less rise to the crown than my old one and therefore the underside of the crown brushes the top of my head in an annoying way. I'll get used to it, of course, and pad the sweat band as needed to make it sit nicely, but still I'm left feeling that somebody should have thought that larger people do tend to be larger all over and added an extra eighth to a quarter of an inch to the height of the crown dip, for that would be all it would take to turn this good hat into an excellent hat.
