Excellent quality and actually squirrel proof
I have a family of squirrels I feed, and a bird feeding station so it has been a challenge keeping the two functioning. The squirrels got into my old feeders but have just given up on this one as they can’t get a proper hold on it and get to the seed.It looks a lot nicer than most “squirrel proof” feeders and is easy to fill. The birds immediately took to it.

NOT squirrel proof
Sadly these feeders, although sturdy in appearance, are NOT squirrel proof. The plastic landing stations on the feeding holes are reachable by squirrels! They chew these until the seed flows freely! My feeder lasted about a month before it was destroyed by grey squirrels. It is now unusable. This item was not cheap which makes it even more disappointing. If the landing stations within the feeder could be made of metal then that would solve the issue. To date I have been unable to find a feeder which doesn’t get destroyed by squirrels!

Really great but could be bigger!
This bird feeder is really lovely, it looks great and the small birds LOVE IT! I read in reviews it took some birds a long time to start using it but luckily my lot started immediately.I’m really happy that So far (after 2 weeks) the pigeons have not been able to access the food and haven’t worked out how it works (thank goodness!).The only issues I have is that i think it could be bigger (especially for the price). The feeding tunnel is small so food runs out quite fast but saying that I have a lot of birds that feed throughout the day. I still stand by my thinking this could be larger though. Also, the lid that you turn open and close at the top to pour food in has loosened a little already so I need to be very careful with it.The size of the holes for the small birds to enter and exit are perfect for only them and no other bigger bird so I’m really pleased, the pigeons and other bigger birds were constantly eating the bird food before and scaring the smaller birds away so this is such a good solution!I do recommend this product though despite the slight negatives.

Works, looks good, but roughly made
This feeder seems to be genuinely proof against squirrels and parakeets. I haven't seen any starlings on it either, although there are plenty of these around. It's also a good looking thing if you don't look closely. But filling it is awkward and slow. You have to unscrew a nut from the top and set it aside. Then you remove the lid and set that aside. Then you move over a central bar that blocks the top of the feeding tube, and after all that you can fill the feeder. Finally you have to reverse the first three steps. This is not a good design. Also, it's not well made. The wire cage which forms the main frame is inaccurately welded and the feeder tube sits at an angle in it. The central bar is too long to fit properly into its clip, and jams and has to be dragged out and shoved in with considerable force. It's hung up by the central nut, which has a small wire loop in it. But the wire loop pivots loosely and hangs down against the cage. This makes it difficult to fit the loop over the hanging hook when the cage is hung above head height (which it should be).All in all, a handsome object but the design needs a complete rethink. It should be hung by a big wire loop on hinges at each side of the lid, eliminating the need for a central bar that blocks the tube. This loop should be shaped so that when it's in a vertical position it holds the lid down -- there are already feeders with this feature. The lid should be on a hinge, so you don't have to take it off and set it aside. And the loop should be able to stay upright, however lightly held in place, so that the feeder can be hung up easily.

very good quality and looks good. Keeps mess to a minimum. Recommended.
A very good quality and stylish feeder for small birds. Larger birds don't even try to feed. No real problems with this feeder. Recommended.ProsWell made with the all the major exposed parts being made of metal.Keeps larger birds away. Most other small bird feeder I have had still attract larger birds but this one doesn't.No mess. The feeder has a tray that catches the little seed that falls from the sturdy container. Combined with no grow feed there is almost no seed falling from the feeder.Easy to open and fill and top is screwed on so very secure.Seed is kept dry in the middle container so the feeder doesn't get messy.ConsNot easy to hang from an upward spiralling bird hook. I had to purchase a couple of s shaped hooks to connect it to the bracket on the bird pole.

Not starling proof or resistant
Likes -The feeder reasonably well made, but zero chance it will last anywhere near the 10 years the warranty suggestsLooks niceDislikes -Bought with the expectation that it would at least 'discourage' starling. It doesn't. There is ample is room for starlings to get into the feeder and clear the contents very quicklyBought with the hope that the seed catcher would reduce waste falling onto the garden. It doesn't. The flat bottom is small and doesn't hold any seed which accumulates there. Encouraging more starling activityFilling is OK, but fiddly. Difficult to determine when screw has been turned enough to slide lid to one side.Very expensive for what it is - would pay double the price for something which really workedSummaryReturning unsatisfied. Made starling issues worse than previous resistant feeder, which only had the issue of no seed catcherIt probably IS squirrel proof but that is not our problem

Beautiful design
Well made and lovely design. Looks great in the yard and the birds love it...It did take a few weeks for the birds to find it, but now that they have, they love to sit inside the "globe" and eat. This is the second one I have purchased, The first was a gift a few years ago and this one is for us.

Florida birds did not like at all
In a month, I saw 2 female cardinals in it, one at a time. They did not know how to eat from the holes, not to stand on the perch. Only ate what fell on the bottom. When the snow birds return, I'll try it again. I was a day too late to return. Too small an area for a bird to eat. I do not recommend it.
