Couldn't put it down.
Loved the book. I hope the author writes another. I'd like to know what happened to the unhappy dragons at the beginning and why was Simon so special.

Abrupt ending
This tale was a good way to tie all of the books together, but it felt incomplete. For those with a traumatic background, trigger warning of child rape. It was difficult at times to remember that the protagonist was so young as he did and lived through so many crazy instances that should have killed him. However, I was left with many questions...What was so special about the young dragon Rider? Many hints but nothing was fleshed out. He obviously found out where a nest of beastmen lived, why was this information not shared? Much was made about the double blades yet no action scenes with them. The ending was so abrupt that I looked for an epilogue for additional details...Still editing errors as well...Still enjoyed the story and hope there are more to broaden the saga.

Good Read
First time I have read a book from this author and I found the book to be very good. I liked the character Simon. I wasn't a 100% sure which way the plot might be going, but it's nice to read a book that is not predictable, and there looks to be many possible directions in future books. Overall I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next book in the series.

very good
Intriguing and thoughtful coming of age fantasy. I like that the author did not excessively dwell on remorse and second guessing by the protagonist after he killed a bad guy or was unable to save a good guy.

Excellent read
Well crafted book all the way around. Fully fleshed out characters, well developed plot, interesting well-written, well-paced story. Not for very young readers since part of the plot revolves around the rape and torture of a 10 year old boy by an older boy, but sensitively and positively handled and not dwelled upon. Also very well-edited, especially for an independent writer. Definitely 5 stars. Already purchased another book by this terrific new author!

Dragons are Here
This is a wonderful story about Simon, a boy who suffers great hardships in his young life. He escapes and then meets a dying dragon and bonds with her baby and so begins their adventure together as their bond grows stronger.I highly recommend this third book in the dragon series and would love to see more of Simon as he grows into a man.

Great story
This series has been a great one from the very beginning I'm hoping that this series continues . Hopefully there will be further adventures for Simon as this story could go so much further, the groundwork is already been laid for that. Whether they continue want to story or create more for this world I look forward to the next one and I will definitely buy it .

Better as a stand-alone
This third installment is best as a stand alone or first book. I have not read the others and want more of this story line after this books events.

Very long narratives! Not required.
I love reading dragon books, and the previous Delno/Geneva novels were great fun, as was the first of this 2 part. What unfortunately is a downer for me is the inordinately lenthy diatribes of narrative or discussions. We don't need minutiae of details author, we are mostly above avg intelligence and cope with shortening the descriptions a little.Eg the details about how a dragon defecates ! The editors should point this out. I flicked forward many pages as I found them frankly, boring. Will continue to read, I like the characters. Shorten the narrative.Hope this is helpful.
