They are very sturdy. They are at an angle so, you can turn it to adjust. The drill bit needed was misleading. I ended up using 1/2 in bit with a 8 inch bit extendor by Bosch to drill holes in my plank.

I used these to install floating shelves for the TV + all the associated components (like receiver, speakers, satellite box, etc). Very easy to install, very sturdy. Yes I would buy them again.

I was deciding between this set and a heavy duty set on etsy. I was not hanging anything heavy so I went ahead with this purchase. So keep that in mind when you purchase this.The installation proved challenging. The instructions and specs for drill bits were non existent. I believe it's recommended to use a 7/16" drill bit to make the deep pocket holes. That proved far too small. I could only get the tip in :-) I tried a 1/2" drill bit and that worked. But it was slightly too big and the bracket felt loose.Tools I used:- 1/2" drill bit- bit collar so I don't drill past my depth.- drillblock to make sure my holes are straight.- level to make sure my pilot holes for the brackets are installed level.- tape measure to make sure the brackets and drill holes are evenly spaced- painters tape to draw lines across my wall for my pilot holes and spacing. Didnt feel like ruining my walls and cleaning that up.I made some shelves out of red oak. The shelves are 7.5" wide and I drilled to a 6" depth. Without the drillblock the install would have turned into a nightmare. Everything turned out great. Brackets feel sturdy enough for my use. Take your time on the install, measure twice and get everything squared.

These are well thought out, and well made. Their design enables you to fine-tune the leveling of the shelf. The only reason I didn't rate them higher on ease of installation has nothing to do with the product. Finding the studs, or another way to securely anchor theses brackets is a bit nerve wracking, especially in a bathroom where you may hit a waterline or wire. Once the holes are safely drilled, installation is snap!

I have a short shelf in between a wall and cabinet that has just one stud to anchor in to. The drywall anchors that come with this are not good. Kicking myself for not putting plywood backing in this area. Do not buy these if you are thinking of setting in 1/2" drywall. Or buy wall anchors that will actually work... which is what I will have to do now.

Solid brackets for floating shelves…definitely worth the money ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
