DIGITEN DC 12V 1/4" Inlet Feed Water Solenoid Valve Quick Connect N/C normally Closed

I haven't used a solenoid valve before, but the performance and ease-of-use of this little valve was outstanding, to say the least. Simply blew me away!I wanted a leak-proof water valve with 1/4" inlet and outlet that can be electrically controlled for a indoor plant watering system I'm building. Came across this and ordered it because it had a low cost. Connected to a 1/4" OD pipe with a small pump to test with a 12V power supply.First, connecting the pipe was intuitive and very easy. Just slide the blue clip out, push the pipe in (push a little hard to make it go all the way in), and slide the blue clip back in; that's it. It connects solidly and does not come out (I pulled hard and it stayed in like magic). When inserting the pipe you encounter one place where you feel like you hit the end, but you have to keep pushing harder to make it go further until it finally stops going further in. Removing the pipe is just as easy... slide out the blue clip, press the collar in, and pull the pipe out. That easy.Second, when the pump started no water came out as expected (because it is Normally Closed type - NC). When I applied 12V to the 2 terminals of the solenoid, water suddenly started coming out. There was no single drop that leaked from anywhere. Amazing!!! Also, there was no noticeable noice when activated... it just works like magic. I only used it for a short while. During that time I did not notice any heat coming from anywhere.This is simply an incredible achievement in engineering, if you ask me... super easy to connect/disconnect, no leaks, silent, no heat, and does exactly what it says, for a low cost. WOW!!!

Failed on the month and three days markAbsolute trash I trusted my reef tank to this valve. I almost had a disaster on my hands.Thankfully I was able to get a better quality one locally.Done buy this it's junk. It refuses to open even with power applied now.

Like many others, I hooked it up backward the first time, and it was letting water through when closed, turned it around and it works great.I don't know what the arrow on the device is supposed to represent, but it certainly isn't flow direction. If you point that arrow towards your water source, you'll be good.

I returned my first unit as defective for not sealing when power was removed. Upon same results from the replacement, I reversed flow direction and it held tight. Mechanically these valves work great. On my two units, the arrow molded into the underside was not indicitive of the flow direction. Hopefully this saves others time and supply chain expenses with returns.

This valve works great and is perfect for what I needed. I love that it has built in 1/4" tube quick connections. I used this valve along with a small float switch and a 12v power supply to make an automatic top off filler for my 42 gallon aquarium. It works great. I ran a 1/4" plastic water line from my reverse osmosis filter in the basement and connected it to this valve. My filter has a 3 gallon bladder tank on it so there is always a store of water under pressure which I also use for my refrigerator water and ice dispenser.I love how this valve works for my super cheap homemade aquarium top off system. The nice thing is, I can siphon 2 gallons of water out of the aquarium every day or two in like 2 minutes and it automatically refills to the correct level without ever carrying water to the tank. I no longer have to do a weekly 20% change of 8 gallons and it's less stress on the fish. Plus, water evaporates quickly from the aquarium in the dry winter air, especially with our wood pellet stove in the room so with my automatic top off, i no longer have to add a gallon per day.

solenoid gets hot (normal...)"no water pressure" requires 0psi to open. it has a huge plunger covering a hole. for higher flow rate applications. also will not drip when closed.the other one will open under pressure. it has a tiny plunger covering a pin hole. will drip when closed. allows less flow when open than the 0psi version

Hooked them up to my water cooler and 27 gallons water bin that I use to replenish my fish tanks. With the help of the shut off valves, I can refill my water with a touch of a switch with out worry about over fill and messy clean up.

Leider gibt es keine 0 SterneIch habe 4 Stück bestellt und alle sind defekt, keines der Ventile öffnet. Dazu werden sie sehr schnell warm. Die Ventile sind auf keinen Fall zu empfehlen.
