Gorilla Knitting's Perfect Companion!
I bought this book for my super hip mom for Mother's Day and she and I both LOVE it! Living in Houston I was able to watch first hand as local knitting group Knitta exploded onto the street art scene quickly spreading across the country and globe spreading their positive (and non-destructive) knitted vibes. Mom, being an avid knitter on her own, has always loved the idea of using knitting in more unconventional and creative ways and as a result has always loved when I share with her the expanding world of knitted street art. This book provides tons of great images and tips for fun projects small to large that one can do, or if you're like me, you can just admire the playful ways in which people all over the world have adapted their knitting skills. After thumbing through the book the first time my mom was already telling me about the ways she was excited to get creative herself, and pull away from the typical knitted hats and scarves!

Another Exciting Trend in the Knit/Crochet world
I first read an article about yarn bombing about three years ago in Vogues Knit1 magazine and enjoyed the idea that yet another fun trend in the world of fiber arts had been discovered. What I didn't know until now was just how pervasive it is. This fantastic little book illustrates it's scope by featuring yarn-bombers around the world. It also includes the prerequisite patterns to help inspire design in "tagging" but for me I was riveted by the artists/bombers themselves as well as the photos which are a laugh and a surprise in their detail as well as innovation in "tag" placement. On a social scale I was mesmerized, from a creative aspect I am blown away and can't wait go to work with my own yarn stash leftovers.

Needed More Photos
The only thing that I wish about this book, and had expected really, were more photos. I love the aspect of giving knitting more credibility as an art form. The idea that this craft can continue as a vibrant means of artistic expression is exciting. I did read all of the text in this book, and found the interviews with the "bombers" interesting. Some of the projects in the back, and too much text about forming a group were not as necessary. I would have preferred more photos of the spectacular examples of this yarn art. The premise of the book is good overall, but could have been a bit better.

Bombs Away
Most of the ideas in this book are totally practical!! However the ones that aren't (like covering a school bus)are still quite enjoyable to ponder. Yarn Bombing will definately hang out on my coffee table for at least a little while for other people to enjoy as well. It's so fun to flip through and I've already started my first project! It's a must for those fiber artists who like to live a little on the edge!!

Fun!
I am the director of a senior center and our knitting group is going to yarn bomb our center, this has been the perfect book for inspiration! There are patterns included and when you see some of the things they have covered in yarn well the pictures are great. I haven't been reading it as a book, just in little snipits but I think it reads well.

I'm gonna tag East Burg, Pa
or at least sit and home and enjoy reading this book. It is amazing and Magda Sayeg will friend you on facebook. It's really fun and inspiring to watch and read about the origins of yarn bombing. They also offer some cool patterns. If you aren't enough of a rebel to tag your neighborhood, pull out your hook, and dec your own house, it's safer with less chance of being arrested!

Fun!
This is a beautiful book exploring the many ways modern knitters and crocheters are speaking out in public with their work. The photos are gorgeous and the contect is fun and thought-provoking. There are how-to sections as well as stories on the crafters' motivations and history.

Good ideas for your projects
I am enjoying this book. Yarn bombing swept the world in the 1990's and early 2000"s. Good ideas for your projects. I will be ordering from these people again.

This book does not give you many patterns to follow
I bought this book hoping for chapters of patterns - quick and easy ones, more challenging and time-consuming ones. I found the majority of the information in the book useless to my requirements. The patterns in it are not easy to follow at all and you could spend a long time fathoming out needle sizes and how much yarn you actually need to complete a project.

The Newb's Yarn-bombing Bible
I've only just started to yarn-bomb and enjoyed this book immensely. It's full of really inspirational ideas and I like the way it's presented as edgy and a bit rebellious. Beautifully illustrated and good practical advice.

Made us laugh!!
This book is full of ideas to take creative knitting to the next level. I especially liked the pattern for the camper van and the bollard covers. A genius thought up and created this book-I hope there is another one soon.A good coffee table book to cheer you up.
