HGST Deskstar 7K2000 HDS722020ALA330 - Festplatte - 2 TB

This is a great hard drive. The only negative thing about it is that it is pretty noisy when you want to defrag it and when it writes data etc. downloading a massive game. Otherwise it is good.

Don't waste your money on the refurbished drives - a far cry from the normally reliable Hitachi drives I purchased new.I purchase 6 new drives in 2010/2011 and the first finally failed in 2015 but the online reviews are very misleading for the refurbished versions.To replace the drives in an older NAS, I purchased 4 refurbished drives from 2 vendors with 1 DOA, 2 failing within 48 hours of stress testing, and 1 appearing to work thus far.WD2003FZEX - This appears to be a better drive for reliabilityPROS: CheapCONS: Refurbished, Unreliable, Hours wasted sanitizing/returning drivesStill not convinced? Make sure you download the WinDFT utility from HGST.com to test your drives before putting them in your systems. The extended test produced a failed report for me on 2 of the 3 drives within 5 minutes.

Excellent purchase. I have bought several of those refurbished drives and not one has failed me yet despite years of usage now.

Beware these are Refurbished drives. Quite noisy and rather slow write speeds. Customer chose this drive for their build against my warnings and I have a good feeling I'll see them again in less than a year for a replacement.

My Samsung drive runs about 35c when under load. Both of the drives I ordered ran at about 46~48c/118f idle and under load I had them hitting 54c/129f. I would hate to see what would happen if I turned off the case fan. In my opinion that is too hot and not good for my NAS box so I returned them.Other thoughtsA big plus for me was the return that Finity India provided.I requested to return both drives. The next day it was approved and I shipped it back to them like their documentation asked. I sent them an email with a scan of the receipt as an attachment and tracking number. The day after that the return money was back in my account along with a reimbursement for the return shipping that I had paid. Best and easiest return, other than prepaid shipping label, I’ve ever had! Kudos and I will buy from them again.

I'v installed them on a ReadyNas Duo and they are working like a charm.

They work great and offer solid performance. The only negative is that they aren't covered by Hitachi's warranty because of their age.

Works as suppose to. Been using similar hitachi drives for years. Don;t get burned by the other brands. Using on MacPro for audio production.

I've been buying these since they were first released and the only option for a 7200rpm 2TB SATA drive. Now I've got about 10. To me, they seem cheap, reliable and fast for server or client drives. What's not to like?Since others have mentioned that these drives are noisy, I'll add my opinion on that. The purring seek noise is comparable to some other hard drives and you'd only really notice it if you had a silent PC and/or had experience of other particularly quiet drives. I don't have a silent PC but have had experience of near silent drives and the Hitachi still doesn't bother me. If you're very sensitive about seek noise and your PC thashes the drive all the time you may want to look elsewhere but I'll be buying more of these Hitachi drives.

Ich habe mir diese Festplatte gekauft, weil die Rezensionen gut waren und der Preis sehr verlockend war.Seit vier Monaten benutze ich diese Festplatte als Backup und (via NAS) als Netzlaufwerkplatte. Der Zugriff ist schnell und bisher gibt es für mich keinen Grund zum Klagen.Einen halben Punkt Abzug für die Geräuschentwicklung, es gibt leisere Platten, aber auch das hält sich im Rahmen.Ansonsten 5 Punkte.

Die Lieferung erfolgte prompt.Leider wurde eine hitachi HDS722020ALA330 und nicht wie bestellt eine Hitachi HDS723020BLA642 geliefert.In der Artikelbeschreibung steht aber ganz klar: "Modellnummer HDS723020BLA642"Das bestellte Modell konnte auch nicht mehr geliefert werden.Leider unnötiger Aufwand und Wartezeit nur weil eine Artikelbeschreibung falsch ist.

Bought to replace a drive that went down in my RAID. - bought a while ago, no problems.

Wunderbare 2TB Platte, hält genau was sie verspricht.Das die Platte besonders laut sein soll (so zumindest viele Kommentare hier bisher) kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Sie ist nicht besonders leise, aber auch nicht besonders laut.Brauch ich noch mal 2TB, würde ich mir die Platte wieder kaufen
