15 Pound Box of Assorted American Black Walnut Wood Cut-Offs, 2 Inch Thick Pieces, Suitable for Turning Wood Blanks, Crafts and Projects

I ended up ordering two of these boxes of walnut pieces, by accident, but am very pleased that I did. First, this is all quality 8/4 Walnut. Out of 20+ pieces received, only 3 pieces were under 8" long, and there were 3 pieces at exactly 24" long, with the rest all in between, shipped in two, packed-full, large priority mail boxes. Some pieces were highly figured, some were heavily checked. But all pieces were usable in some fashion...as a drawer pull, if nothing else. These make for great turning blanks and small trim parts for various projects. Highly recommended.

Some of the pieces were too flawed to be of much use but some really nice ones as well. Overall the quality of most of the wood was excellent. Well worth the $35 charged.

Wood was square, dry and gorgeous. There was some splitting and knot holes but overall nice product.

I bought these for my husband who makes duck and goose calls. The wood was beautiful! Well worth the price. Excellent, will definitely buy more!

Wish i got a better batch, most of mine was sapwood.

Since these were cut offs, I expected a bunch of stumpy pieces (which would have been fine for me, since I'm turning small game pieces) but I was pleasantly surprised that they were all 2" square, and the SHORTEST one was 20" long. At roughly $3/pound, I think this was a good deal.

My husband is doing some impressive wood working so I surprised him with this black walnut. He is very happy with it. Thank you. Good delivery time too.

You get a lot of wood for the price, most of wood was between 8 and 15 inches. Id say about an eighth of the wood was really bad and not really usable but even with that considered its a good bargain.
