The popular "String of Turtles" houseplant is a slow-growing succulent with tiny, delicate leaves that trail gracefully from hanging baskets. The perennial has fleshy, ornamental leaves that will form a thick mat of vines. This one prefers humid, wet conditions. However, it is relatively easy to care for under regular indoor conditions. Native to the rainforests of Brazil, Peperomia prostrata grows best in bright light. Let the soil dry out completely before watering. Sad!!
Sad, all I can say is Sad! Defiantly nothing like the pictures or description states. Came in a small 2” plastic pot with a very small baby baby plant that look like a little piece stuck in soil. Very disappointed. I’m going to contact the seller.

Small and expensive, but made it alive with fast delivery
The plant arrived sooner than estimated and is alive and there were only a few leaves lost in transit. It is much smaller than I expected so I hope that it isn’t too fragile and that it will live and grow. I can see why these may not be popular in stores, because it is very expensive relative to its size. It is shockingly small for the price. Let’s hope it thrives.

Small, but looks healthy. Packaged well!
Fast shipping considering the circumstances. I see why the others left crappy reviews but it is a hard to find plant.. I wanted one for a while so I wa a happy to shell out the cash for it.it’s a little guy but it was packaged very well and looks nice and healthy. Please note this isn’t the pot it came in.. I repotted it.I can’t wait to see this plant grow.The only reason I didn’t give it a full 5 is because the roots didn’t seem too strong so I am a little worried about that.

Plant died within a month
The plant came in bad shape to begin with. Planted it a pot with plenty of drainage and placed it in an area with good light. The plant was slowly dying, so I tried to replant it in another pot... there weren't even any roots! Such a bad purchase.

Came looking healthy and larger than I expected!
WIll recommend this seller (and String of Turtles plant). I have not ordered plants in the mail before so my expectations were low but I am more than satisfied. I expected the need to nurse this plant after its travels but it looks great right out of the box. The size of this plant is pretty generous for one so slow-growing. I have never had a SOT before and I live in a very dry environment. My understanding is that these like it very humid so it will be confined to a terrarium or Wardian case once I figure things out.

Lush!
I got this plants after just a few days from ordering. I was very pleasantly surprised to see how lush it was. So many photos showed only a string or two of turtles. However, mine was super full. I could not see any of the dirt because of how full it was. I’ve seen string of turtles at my local nursery at almost triple the price. This was such a great amount for the price listed. Fingers crossed I keep her alive!

Pleasantly surprised
Always have my expectations low when buying live plants online, but this far exceeded my expectations. My plant was delivered faster than expected. When I got it the plant was packaged carefully and my plant looked awesome when I took it out. It was so full and healthy and the soil was still moist (other plants I’ve ordered online arrive bone dry and barely hanging on). There were leaves in the bottom of the box but that’s to be expected since the string of turtles plant is fragile, but didn’t matter because the plant looked so full! There were no pests that I could see and it came with a certificate that the nursery had no pests. Definitely the best option when it comes to purchasing a string of turtles!

So friggin’ cute!
Look how full and happy! Most Strings (of all types, honestly) are sold as little cuttings that have been rooted, or just super tiny plants. Not this one! Look how full and happy. :D Arrived safely packaged and in excellent health. I’m so happy with my new String of Turtles!
