I have no idea whether the birds will like this, but the house is very pretty and is sturdier than I expected. This is a thick-walled, heavy ceramic piece. I did encounter one problem: The loop in the metal hanger that goes through the loop on the lid of the house was too tight to fit over the ceramic loop, but I was able to bend the metal a little bit to make it fit.With ceramic bird houses you have to be EXTRA careful about placement. The house needs to be shaded from full, afternoon sun. The instructions with this product say to place it in the north or east side of trees. I would go further than that and say that it needs to be under a dense tree canopy or in the afternoon shade of some structure. I have this hanging under a garden arbor that is covered in vines. We’ll see whether the birds use it.

This is a nice substantial bird house. The color is very pretty. Clean out looks very easy. Good buy.

Without ventilation, this house seriously overheats, even in the shade. If you are going to hang this outside, please drill ventilation holes. I lost a nest of house wrens even though the house was entirely in the shade.
