Bulldog Vaults Personal Safe with Key Lock and Security Cable, 9.5 x 6.5 x 1.8-Inch, Black

I was very surprised with the quality of this vault. My initial thought was, "Whoa! This thing is heavy!" Purchased for my Ruger SP101 2.25". Plenty of room to spare. The egg crate style foam holds everything secure so nothing moves when the vault gets tossed around. The lock is sturdy and secure enough to keep the kids out. Very simple, easy to use. Insert key, turn, unlock or lock. Very smooth locking mechanism with a distinct "click" on lock/unlock. I thought the plastic of the key felt a bit cheap, but doesn't affect the functionality one bit. My husband was hoping to keep his Ruger 1911 alongside mine in the vault, but they did not fit together. Just purchased another for him as he was so impressed with the quality of this safe. Definitely can't beat the price.

The box & cable feel strong, the lock itself is nothing impressive. A good strike & turn with a flat head can probably snap & open it.For the price point & reputation of this cable safe I think it’s worth it. Especially since it can hide good in cars, closets, or any small spaces.

Bought this so I could go to see son in prison. They wouldn't let me into the parking lot unless I could put my firearm under two locks.When I received this I thought this is a very nice and heavy case. Should be very durable a. tough. I am not disappointed.Good padding with a long cable to attach to a metal support in the trunk. Holds both my small pocket carry 0.380 with spare mag plus my regular car carry subcompact 0.40 with spare mag.Cradles both nicely and easy to get to.Looking to buy a second unit if I can find one where I can get one key to fit both. Have letter to Bulldog to see if they can provide a lock or another vault keyed alike.Definitely recommend this one.

The media could not be loaded. I recommend choosing the key lock. There is enough space for my Walther P22CA, a few extra magazines and a little space left over to squeeze in a couple of credit cards or things to that effect. This safe is very solid. The lock and key works flawlessly. So if you are considering this case, you should go ahead and snag one. Again I recommend the key lock option.

sturdy box, weak cable. keep under seat in car.

I bought mine July 24th to fly to Washington State, when I got there and tried to unlock it it was jammed and I couldn't. So after trying to get it free for a few hours and failing I had to break it to get my gun and personal documents out.. Now I have to buy another one to get back to the East Coast.. Not sure if Bulldog vaults can do anything for me but that would be much appreciated

Vault is nicer than expected. Cable is plenty long. When closed and locked, it seems sturdy. Lid doesn't move. I use it in the car, tied under the seat, then push vaule under seat.

This is a good little safe box....nice for stashing things to keep small items tucked away under lock and key. With the cable you can secure it to a shelf or something in the house, or even use it your car by wrapping the cable around a seat rail and keeping it under your seat.
