Children's Factory Rectangular Mess and Play Splash Mat - 50 x 72

This mat is large, perfect for painting. I got it for me and my son, who's 2.5 to paint on a regular basis. I had a little bit of trouble getting the paint to come off, but honestly, it's FOR painting, so it doesn't matter to me. It's not like it's a tablecloth that got paint on it. It's a splash mat, used for protecting the table and/or floor from paint. So, if it has paint stains, guess what? It's well-loved. :)It is super thick, basically like a regular tarp. It's a little heavy, so my toddler couldn't just easily pull it off the table like he was doing with newspaper and stuff. I recommend this for parents with kids - in general. For food messes, paint messes, art messes, sand, whatever- it will absolutely be a huge help in easy cleanup. Because of the large size, I found it a little hard to wash it off easily, even in our large mop bucket sink in the laundry room. So, I have thought about an easier route for next time may just be to bring it out back and hose the whole thing down. It may even get off the paint easier.

I was honestly pleasantly surprised when I pulled this out of the package. It’s much thicker and more durable than I thought it would be.

For all things involving toddlers, expect the absolute unexpected. I'm talking (sometimes) a typhoon of a mess! Well, that's the case in my house with just ONE toddler boy. We recently purchased this for under our dining table to catch the spills and pieces of food that fall to the floor. However, I think we will be purchasing another one soon for our son's (indoor) picnic tabletop and all the future mess-making he'll be creating! It's easy to clean, rolls/folds up nicely and covers a large area; check out its dimensions!

This product is a plastic sheet, not a mat. I asked before purchasing, how thick is i? The reply was 1 inch. Haha, that is the shipped package size.

I use this under my kid’s child size tables whenever we’re doing a craft project or eating. When I break this out on play dates, all the other moms want to know where I got it and make me send them the link so they can buy it! It’s super useful. Very good quality and cleans easily.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this mat. It is large, thick, made of durable material that doesn't slide around on our hardwood floors. It is spacious enough for my son to share with his cousin(they are 20 and 26 months old). Also, the surface that faces up is slightly textured which makes it relatively non slip. I am glad I purchased this mat instead of other smaller cheaper versions.

A mat stays on the floor where you put it. It is thick and doesn’t wrinkle easily. This is not a mat. This is essentially a lightweight tarp. It is nicer looking in the living room than a tarp from a hardware store. If you want something you can fold and put in a bag and take around with you, it’s a good choice. If you want something to leave under the baby’s high chair to protect the carpet- as I did- this isn’t what you want.
