A beautiful book with wonderful prose. An absolute treat for anyone who loves plants and appreciates elegant writing.

I bought this thinking that as a gardener I'd learn something from it but it didn't meet my expectations. The cover was scuffed and dirty, the contents fairly basic stuff that most gardeners would already know, with only a limited range of plants covered. Not recommended.

The book is totally beautiful. However, it turned up scuffed and with marks all over, and cannot find anyway of contacting Amazon to ask for a replacement.

Great for city dwellers who wish they had more greenery
