Nicely illustrated book showing bicycles that had an impact on cycling. If you’re a bike lover then I think you would enjoy this book. Lots of history, well written, very thorough. I have read it a couple of times and used it to check on bikes I seen and read about. Good book to add to your library.

I don't think these all "changed the world" of cycling, but it's a good concise presentation of 50 interesting bike designs.

Got this for my husband who loves bicycles. There are some bikes he had not seen! It's a compact book with nice pictures and a brief overview/history with each bike.

Gave this a a present to someone 'into' Bikes and it certainly 'hit the spot' especially as it's not something a young person might buy for themselves.Dare I say it 'spoke' to the recipient!

A good idea poorly produced. Some good photographs but many fall well below professional standard. The descriptions are brief leaving a lot of white paper.

A gimmick rather than an encyclopaedic look at 50 bicycles. There are also other 'Design museum fifty' books I will quite happily keep clear of.

Very average book and too small for a coffee table book. Mildly amused by some of the entries - particularly some of the recent entries, which have not changed the world, let alone are changing it.

Fantastic book for anyone interrested in the history of the cycle and its evolution detailing landmark designs through time, arrived quickly, well packed

- nette Idee- Auswahl der Räder ist teilweise nicht nachvollziehbar. Es sind einige Designs dabei, die zwar vielleicht aussergewöhnlich sein mögen, die sich aber werde durchgesetzt haben noch wichtige Entwicklungen angestossen haben und daher überhaupt nicht zum Anspruch des Büchleins passen- die Beschreibung fällt teilweise sehr knapp aus- wichtige Dinge fehlen z.B. das Verbot der Liegeräder bei Radrennen durch die UCI- kleinere Fehlerchen scheinen sich auch eingeschlichen haben- Fokus scheint eher auf dem Designaspekt denn auf wissenschaftlich/technische Betrachtung zu liegenInsgesamt wäre eine detailliertere Darstellung wenigerer Räder besser. Aber das paßt wohl nicht zur Buchreihe (Fifty bags, fifty chairs...)
