Excellent Reading
Sixth reading in a decade - somehow keep connecting with the book albeit unavoidable encounters at the most unexpected places. Be warned - once you pick it up, difficult to put on cue!

Poor Quality of Printing
I am surprised at the low standards of printing by Simon and Schuster. The type has not been reset for the paperback edition and looks like a photocopy of the orginal text making it difficult to read for long passages. The bleeds on the cover have also not been properly adjusted.

Deep Dig Into 80s Finance
Amazingly well researched book into the use of junk bonds as a tool to raise equity. Very well explained, technical while still interesting. Great for anyone wanting a deeper insight into the evolution of American finance.

Thorough yet lengthy; engrossing
Connie Bruck forged an in-depth exploration of the rise of Michael Milken at Drexel Burnham. His signature product, junk bonds, is vividly dissected for their effects on the marketplace, on individuals buying and selling them, and on the companies whose interests they presumably serve. Each major bond issue by Milken's firm is a case study unto itself. The book is lengthy (it took me months to finish, picking it up several times only to realize I did not have the appropriate time to devote to its completion) but that is the result of the author's attention to multifold details that assemble a rich tapestry telling the story of the major injection of capital into the American economy in the 1980s (aside from mortgage-backed securities).

Great story but horrible printing
The text of all the pages looks like a granular zoomed in document. What kind of printing quality is this?
