Used on Hammer A3 Jointer/Planer
I hunted for a mobile base for a long time and settled on this one for a Hammer A3 16" jointer/planer. It's easier to install on the delivery pallet from Felder but could easily be installed on the floor. Using a multi-piece base allows the base to be put together under the machine. To assemble, lift the jointer with (2) 2x4 lumber and a car lift jack from each end with blocks like a fulcrum and slide one half of the base with the tubes installed under the machine. Block the planer on this end so the machine is not resting on the base, this will allow for some movement when installing the other end on the tubes. Lift the other end the same way and install the other half of the mobile base. Lower the jointer on this side, move the car lift jack to the other side and lift to remove blocks or knock them out with a hammer to the inside of the machine. Build some 2x4 ramps off the pallet and roll the 800 lb machine off the pallet. The wood block will drop out between the ramps while moving the machine off the pallet. I placed the wheels directly under the infeed and outfeed tables to prevent a trip hazard. The mobile base moves the machine around very well. There is a little sag in the middle between each corner where its bolted up but its plenty stout. The sag is from the bolt holes being larger than the bolts. This base has the thickest metal wall available, unless you welded your own base.

Worked great for my Powermatic PM1285 Jointer
I wanted my Powermatic 12" jointer to be mobile and they don't create a mobile base for the 12" model. I purchased this and it worked great. Assembly went smoothly and it fit very nicely. I can move my jointer around with ease and I am not worried about the durability of the mobile base.

Excellent mobile base - very well built
I bought this mobile base for a very large bandsaw that weighs about 1,000 pounds. I had to order the optional side rails due to the size of the bandsaw. Everything came together perfectly. The base is very well constructed and was easy to assemble. It works very well with my 1,000 # bandsaw. I would purchase this base again.

Good, but not quite up to expectations
The most positive aspects to less so:Excellent finish, a robust powder paint coating, in fact so robust you'll save yourself some later frustration by chasing out all the threaded openings before attempting assembly. The all steel material was a selling point to upgrade from my decades old wood/metal base. It is dramatically more rigid and easier to handle. The other selling point was five inch casters to cope with a less than even work floor. That said, the photos are a bit of a stretch. That door track it is shown about to cross? I have one of those. I made some small ramps to get over it. It could be pushed across without the ramps, but it will be a workout if your machine is anywhere near the max weight. Also, that rolling across a power cord photo? Yes, it will do that. However, the lifting jacks just behind the wheels will probably catch the cable. So, you'll be on your knees untangling. There is a work around, completely retract the foot bolts. Then you'll be back on your knees extending or retracting the foot bolts. My response to constantly adjusting the jack bolts is a couple of pocket sized mudsills made from 3/8-1/2 inch plywood that can be dropped and toe shoved under the fully retracted jacks. From a very small garage shop user, it works well, and significantly reduces my setup effort. If Bora ever provides a longer travel foot lever for the lifting jacks to improve obstacle clearance, I'll probably buy them.

Power Steering
This is written for the Bora PM3800. I missed the UPS driver when package was delivered. Usually he delivers packages in a brown van. I think this time he delivered it in a cement mixer. Cartoon was all busted up. Luckily all parts were intact. One rear stationary wheel bracket was slightly bent. Used a crow bar to fix. None of this was Amazon's or Bora's fault. Definitely shipping and handling are guilty.Simple review of mobile stand: Fantastic! Original stand for a very heavy cast iron planer was cumbersome to move & steer. This new Bora stand is like going from an old 1949 Power Wagon to a brand Cadillac with power steering. Glad I spent the extra money on this heavy duty model. Well worth it.

Thumbs up!
Packed well enough, but if Brown Santa had delivered it, I can't say it would look as good.I would call the product itself, "good enough", but only just. Installing the lift levers was fiddly but not impossible. But at this price point they should have been installed.Packaging was thin, but adequate for the handling it received in transit. I really appreciated the stapled corners because they made the annointing of the precious without any added effort. No project can be successful without the application of the precious. This will be carrying a PM2020 wood lathe, once it arrives. I was able to size the base to fit by installing the 25 inch rails on the short side of the rectangle and a pair of 36 inch extension rails left to right. Lathe footprint is 24 x 35, mobile base closest inside dimensions are 25-3/4 x 35-3/4, roughly.Whether the wheels and casters will stand up to 592 lbs of lathe remains to be seen since it hasn't been delivered as yet.Blue bandage courtesy of the Tormek T4. That bleeping staple may not have been Tormek sharp, but it was sharp enough.Another enough.

Works well on heavy equipment
I use this mobile on a Powermatic 12” jointer that weighs 800 pounds. I can move it around with some maneuvering required. It might be easier if all wheels swivel, but I need the larger 5” wheels for my uneven floor.I tried mobile bases rated for heavy equipment but with smaller wheels. They didn’t work on uneven or dust covered floors.
