Wow!!! Just Wow!!!
I looked into a lot of different brands and types of cutters for my hedges. I wanted a good quality that would last. I have thankfully found these :) I cannot even say with words the ease and sharpness of how these cut. It is so fun now to trim with these, they are light and easy to close and cut. I bought a 3 in 1 oil and after each use I wipe them off and lube them up.WARNING - they are so sharp on the edge that you need to wear leather gloves or something that cannot be cut when you are wiping the blades. Literally they will slice your finger deep even through cloth or cloth gloves. Please be careful

Beautiful Japanese Shears
Discovering these shears after witnessing their effectiveness at a local nursery has been nothing short of a gardening revelation. The fact that they're Made in Japan speaks volumes about their quality, and they certainly live up to that reputation. From the moment I laid hands on them, it was clear that they're a cut above the rest. The razor-sharp blade makes trimming a sheer delight, and the precision they offer is truly impressive. The added tidbit that Stihl rebrands and sells them under their name for a higher price only reinforces their excellence. These shears have become my go-to tool for topiary sculpting and all sorts of precision pruning tasks, proving that investing in quality tools can elevate even the most mundane gardening chores into an enjoyable experience.

Very sharp
These are very sharp; they will cut you (don't ask how I know)! I can trim my small hedges/plants easily and in short-order. Trimmers seem to be easy to maintain with a wrench and oil. Because they are sharp, they may dull quickly. The Okatsune sharpening stone should/must be included as part of the price. I think this will be a great selling point. A kydex sheath would be a plus as well.

Excellent - Bravo - Well Done
Hard to find (from a reputable retailer) Trimming Shears that are actually made in Japan. Amazon Japan had it available through Amazon USA with an excellent price, shipped from Japan (say what?) with a long lead time (actually delivered 6 days sooner than estimated). High quality - Well made tool. Looking forward to using the shears for topiary trimming. Amazon Japan and Amazon USA knocked it out of the park. BRAVO

At first glance these shears felt cheap and not well ...
At first glance these shears felt cheap and not well put together. Only have had them for a couple of weeks and not used them much but they are the sharpest shears I have every used. I wish the pivot point was more solid and smooth but sofar they are what they were advertised as.
