Highly recommended. Very smooth finish
I've used this product on several sets of headlights and so far so good. It goes on extremely smooth and gives a very shiny finish. I just need to see how well it holds up over time.I've used several headlight restoration kits over the years and most of them worked well, but they came with a tiny bottle of clear finish and obviously was just enough to refinish a pair of headlights. I wanted to buy a larger quantity of the clear finish that would allow me to do a lot of headlights instead of buying a bunch of $23 single use kits. During my research I found this 4EverBrite product with great reviews and decided to give it a try. As long as it holds up over time I would say I bought exactly what I was looking for.I use a variable speed electric buffer with three grits of polishing compound in three steps to polish the headlights, then I apply this clear coat with two coats and the lights look great. I should be able to do dozens of lights with this bottle.

WANT YELLOW LENSES?
WANT YELLOW LENSES? This product yellows in 2 months. How do I know? A drop of the product dripped on the white bottle and yellowed in a couple months. Test for yourself. Be warned, you will not get a refund. I corresponded with the owner and no reply when asked for refund. For excellent results, once lenses are restored, spray with acrylic enamel gloss clear coat to protect them (2 flash coats followed by 2 wet coats per manufacturer recommendations). Yes, it is more labor intensive to prep for spray but the results are excellent. For best results, use catalyzed clear (2K clear) for >10 year protection.

The results have been fantastic. I still have quite a bit of product ...
I did headlight restorations on 4 cars and used 4EverBrite UV clear coat on all of them. The results have been fantastic.I still have quite a bit of product left.I just followed the directions on the bottle and it went on perfectly with no issues. The included lint-free wipers were an effective way to apply the coating; I was tempted to use a foam brush but just used the provided wipes and had good success. So far it has only been a couple months since I used the product but I have been VERY Pleased.November 2016 update: it has been about a year since I used this product and I couldn't be happier. I did a total of four cars, and all still look fantastic. I am truly delighted with the results and recommend it highly.

"Completely Average." Looks good for a while, but peels & turns yellow after a few months.
My experience seems to be like many others. The initial experience is great, however it does not last nearly as long as promised. However, some reviewers have had excellent results, so I wonder if different headlight manufacturers use slightly different plastics in their lenses which effects adhesion or something.I wet-sand with 600, then 1200 paper, then buff by hand 3x with polishing compound until the lenses are clear. Usually I use a foam brush, but this time I tried a small square of paper towel folded up - I wanted enough surface area for stiffness, but not so much that it would absorb all the fluid instead of spreading it.As I write this, I wonder if I should have included an additional cleaning step between polishing and coating application -- possibly the polishing compound is leaving residue which prevents adhesion. I would be hesitant to experiment at that stage and contaminate it before coating.I have had the same experience over the years that others have stated: the coating turns yellow after only a few months and starts to peel/flake. I have also noticed that if a small amount dribbles on the bottle, it also turns yellow instead of staying clear as one would expect.I am curious why the results based on reviews are such polar opposites.

If you're a Auto repair shop like me, this is something fantastic to add to your armament.
Been cleaning headlights for years but was always trying to find something that worked as good as the industrial grade UV "rub on" clear coat could, just without the big cost, and i think i found it.So far, i have about 60 cars or so on the road using this clear coat, my first customer to get it was about 2 years ago and she just came in to get a oil change, head lights looked straight off the show room floor, her poor little subie's got some miles on it and plenty of rust, but those head lights look like a million bucks.Been reading some of the not so good comments on here, and truly think that that is the right out come they are getting. Some head lights clean up easily, some take hours to clean. If you go to wally would and get one of those cleaner kits and use it with this clear coat, and if the head lights aren't bad, they should come out pretty good, but if they're say 40% or higher in yellow haze or cracking of old UV, then it may not work well or much at all, and certainly won't work at all just using the UV clear coat by itself. Some headlights are so bad (either A, they are to expensive to buy new, or B, you can't buy/find them anymore) we have to go as low as 400 grit by hand and work or way to 600 and a Scotch-Brite pad with a drill, then we can start the regular headlight sanding process. Keeping water on the headlight while sanding it is very important (i made a custom stand out of a old lamp to hold mini spray heads connected to a garden hose, a punch of towels and the garden hose over the hood work just as well) keeping the drill at low speed letting the sanding pads do there job one at a time. All those kits come with a buffing pad with compound, won't do you any good on clear plastic and just makes a bigger mess. after the 2000 grit, time to dry with a towel and wipe with rubbing alcohol of any contaminants. At this time, you're ready for the clear coat application (if its not good and clear at this time, you'll need to go back and sand some more, the clear white haze is normal after rubbing alcohol has been applied) just a regular paper towel lightly tamped with 4EverBrite, go over the headlight in a circular motion, let dry for 3 to 5 hours, repeat second coat.So far, i'm happy with it, my wifes car get it first like 2 and a half years ago and are still clear, after about 5 years will be the real test, but for now, i give it 5 stars.
