Perfect for Graphic, Web, and Interior Designers
Katrin Trautwein has assembled a beautiful, spiral-bound book of colors, with the text on the left of each spread and a full-page of the color on the right. Le Corbusier's color palettes are represented (with samples from 1931 and 1959) as are several others. Each color is carefully explained by Trautwein in terms of pigment and also use--what it works with and how it might be used in an interior. It's almost like a super swatch book of a limited palette with expert commentary. Of note, CMYK and RGB color equivalents (although they can't capture the same pigment glow) are provided. I've used this book now for two of my projects to select colors and haven't been disappointed. I think this is a near must for a graphic, web, and/or interior designer's library. Also, a good companion to Trautwein's book The Color Black.

Unverzichtbar
Unverzichtbar für alle, die mit Farbgestaltung arbeiten. Mit diesen Farbtönen liegt man nie falsch. Schade, dass die deutsche Version vergriffen ist.

Unique resource
A wander through colour history. This is a unique book of colour samples that explains the origin of the colour and its significance, both social and construction-related. Sample swatches are very large, page size. Excellent resource for designers, architects, artists, and anyone with an interest in the history of design.
