Lullaby of Broadway: Life and Times of Al Dubin, One of America's Great Lyricists

Interesting daughter's account
This is the daughter's account of a very successful, but at the same time sad life. No doubt she had some good times with herfather, but those that had to deal with him professionally had a very difficult time. Obviously, he was a genius as a lyricist, but as a human being he was a complete mess. There was no real psychological insight into why a young, atheletic boy turned into a gross, drunken, drug taking wreck. An exhaustive list of the hundreds of lyrics he wrote. He will long be remembered for the great1930s musicals he wrote with Harry Warren. Will certainly interest those that love The Great American Songbook.
