The Way We Live In the City

I really enjoy reading this book, it arrived just before I was leaving to a trip to Bariloche (Argentina). It was a great company near the fire in the beautiful hotel, snowing over the trees. The contrast with its great photographs (of where I belong) was delightful.It took me a week to go over the pages and it was exactly what I want of a book selected mainly for its tittle.

I haven't even read any of the text yet - gone through it several times though just looking at the pictures, which are great. Would make a great coffee table book.

I ordered these because I was crazy about "How We Live With The Things We Love", but was disappointed, too many photos of general landscape, not enough of interiors.

Great Coffee Table Book, lovely homes.

This is a terrific book, full of all great photographs of beautiful places. Lots of ideas for anyone interested in decorating a room, or designing a home. Too often design books are either too extravagant or feel rather staged in they way a house is photographed. This book finds home -- both fancy and simple -- that are about great taste and they are photographed in a way that is very beautiful, but also real. You know a team of assistants didn't spend the day lighting every surface of the room. A really inspiring book.

I bought this book as a present for my wife.She just loves interior design and had dropped some hints over the past couple of months about the book.So i went and got it for her,being the loving husband that i am.Oh boy what beautiful images.I had never heard of the photographer Gilles De Chabaneix but i do now.It is a delight just to browse through this book,it shows what a top photographer can do with ordinary every day environments.A veritable pleasure.

Both my daughter and I both love this whole series.
