This book is EVERYTHING!
I have no idea why there are negative reviews for this book! It is everything I could have wanted in her book - and more!! I LOVE Kyle on the show - she is clearly an amazing mom and friend and is super compassionate and a real girls-girl! I have literally tried googling her hair and style tips and anything I can find about her personal upkeep because she looks so good and clearly knows what she is doing - this book has all of that! And I can tell that she was not paid to push any products or some strange agenda. When I read the book I could literally hear her saying the words in my mind - 'haha' and all! It makes me feel like she actually wrote the book herself instead of having some ghost writer put some generic book together and then slap her name on it for money. I am so so happy I read this! If you love Kyle and want to feel like you are sitting in a room with her dishing about love, parenting, and beauty secrets - then buy this book!

I don't know why I expected more...
I don't know why I'm surprised I was disappointed in this. A real housewife, does not an author make, but I guess I gave her too much credit since Kyle always seemed to be the least crazy of the bunch (and because I loved both of Bethenny's books). This wasn't horrible, but it was like reading a very long text, or Facebook post, complete with every other sentence ending with "Ha-ha!" Perhaps if that weren't the case, it would have been more tolerable.Kyle basically launches into an autobiography and "advice" as to how she achieves her perfect life. Yea, well being born with a silver spoon didn't hurt either. This book is full of product placement (I don't think they make that Trish McEvoy lipgloss anymore btw) and gross male biased tips for a "happy marriage." I guess I should be glad I don't live in Beverly Hill cause there is no way I'm doing my hair and putting lipgloss on before my coffee. God forbid should my man see me "that way." But yea Kyle, you're totally "real!"Don't waste your time. Onto Lisa Vanderpump's best seller!

GREAT!!
I really love Kyle on the show, so I knew I would love this book!! I didn't realize it was going to have SOO many great tips and tons of advice!! The best part is how she lists all of her favorite products, both cheap and pricey! She was able to use a lot of humor in the book, which I loved!! It was so interesting to get to know her so much better and learn things that aren't shown on TV. I loved reading about her relationship with her mom, I definitely got emotional at a few parts!! The only part I wasn't crazy about was her relationship advice, but hey, whatever works for her!! She really seems to have a great marriage, so I'm happy for her! If you lover her on the show, you will definitely love the book!! Great job Kyle!!

Loved Kyle from the Real Housewives and wanted to know more ...
I really did enjoy this book. Loved hearing all the stories about her family. In saying that there are a few items that I didn't agree with. At times the relationship advice seemed a little hypocritical. I can't say that I'd ever parade around in front of the guy I love with my ex to make a point but to each her own. This tactic obviously worked for her! I do love the way she raises her children and the morals she teaches them. All in all a great book even though there were a few 'shake my head' moments. A few of you also commented on the HaHa's. If you watch the Real Housewives this is pure Kyle, you can tell she wrote the book exactly as if she were having a conversation with you, which I loved!

Conversation with Kyle
I thought this book was going to be completely different, didn't expect an advice book. But thats my own fault I did not even read the back cover before purchasing. Overall it was a light read. I purchased the digital copy and there were tons of pictures so I am unsure about the other review saying there are no pictures. I enjoyed the pics. While reading it felt like I was talking to Kyle and asking her questions. I agree with others reviews, there were some elementary phrases throughout the entire book, but it did not bother me because it was the tone of the book-a casual conversation getting to know Kyle Richards. In the book she talks about advice for children, siblings, beauty, and much more. I am only 23 and an only child so I did not need advice for children/siblings/marriage, but I found myself laughing and tearing up at the advice regardless. Overall I am not amazed, but I am not disappointed either. Light Read, captures your emotions, and you learn a lot about this RHWOBH star. Would recommend if you are a fan of Kyle or the show.

Kyle, you need to get help yourself! You're Delusional about Your Life!
Kyle Richards, an original cast member of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has written a biographical book about her life. Except for the colorful photographs of her and her family, there isn't much to admire in this book about Kyle's life. She dedicated her book to her late mother better known as Big Kathy. If you read about Big Kathy here, Kyle portrays her as a loving, attentive mother to her three daughters. If you read Jerry Oppenheimer's book, "The House of Hilton," you would soon realize what Big Kathy was the stage mother from hell and Kyle is her youngest daughter.Kyle appears to gloss over details and truthful information about her life. She played a frightened girl in the classic horror hit, "Halloween," and was traumatized for it. She doesn't recommend acting in a horror film for a ten year old girl. Kyle appears to forget her own reality and delusions about her life. Her big sister, Kathy Hilton, is the successor to their mother as family matriarch. Her older sister, Kim Richards, was a child star and actress who has fallen on hard times.Kyle alludes to her married life to Los Angeles realtor, Mauricio Umansky. She converted to Judaism for him and she would write about becoming Jewish for her husband and his family. You would think that she would offer a chapter about the process but only a sentence about it. Kyle must suffer from a low self-esteem and delusions about her life. In the reality series, she kept covering up Kim's behavior rather than getting her assistance.

Headache inducing read
A very disappointing read. I found myself getting annoyed by the poor written style, the constant so called 'laughter', the out of touch comments about her lifestyle and the tips that may not even impress a kid. Save your money and rather enjoy the TV show.

life is not a reality show
Would highly recommended for anyone who loves the real housewives of Beverly hills full of great stories and beauty tips could not put it down. Kyle is so down to earth for the lifestyle she lives and it shows in this book.
