The stain from the darker walnut colored holders bleed onto the soap. Evidently they were not sealed or made waterproof.

I make artisanal soaps that I sell, so we always have “ugly bars” (soap scraps from each batch) around the house, and these work great for letting it air dry between uses! These slotted soap holders last a long time and are perfect for keeping soaps dry between use. Easy to clean too with a little brushing from time to time. I give these holders as gifts with my cold process soaps, plus they look great.

I make homemade goats milk soaps. No issue with the darker stained one leaving any color on soaps. Made very nice gifts. If I need more I will order these again.

Great product, but it comes wrapped in plastic. Obviously it didn’t say that it was package free, but I’m crunchy, so that’s one star for me. Other than that they’re great and really sturdy. Some of the wood stain does get on wet soap though at first.
