They improve with washes
Definitely 100% cotton, these are pretty sheer to start and super stiff out of the box; but with washing, they shrink a little and wrinkle into tiny balls that have to be pulled apart in order to iron them. Totally a wrinkled up little wad of cotton. But if you do iron them they are a lot softer, a little smaller, and also a little denser in texture. They're FAR cheaper than Last Tissue, and are totally worth it as a replacement. Three will fit in place of two Last Tissues tissues, and they have the same trouble with wrinkling like crazy when washed and dried. I'm really happy with the huge stack of these, and have been using them in place of disposable tissues and for that purpose, they work beautifully. Small enough to just use whenever I need to and not worry about dirtying the Whole Thing before washing. After several YEARS of using them pretty much every day, they've gotten to be super soft and dense enough that I can't see my hand through them anymore. One of them in a picture of a single handkerchief in my hand. The other is the pile that I ironed recently. I keep them in a mesh bag until laundry day and then just throw the whole thing into the laundry with my other whites. They do ball up, still, but iron easily and I no longer use regular tissues in my office anymore. I also use two of them for cleaning up staining things, like ink from my fountain pens, or to dry off my paint brushes, but I keep them separate from the rest.I'm impressed at how well they've held up in all this time, so I upped my stars to five, as they are just really great, and I'm glad I spent my money on these.

disposable tissue replacement FTW!
I put these in a HOT wash right away and they became soft enough to use, a few washes later of warm with my regular clothes and they are really soft! I get one time uses out of them since they are pretty small, but I can blow and fold a few times in that usage. Exactly what I needed! Oh and who honestly cares about wrinkles when you use a hanky for what it is designed for? They shrunk a little but that was expected for cotton so if your nose is gigantic, they probably aren't for you. These are recommended for anybody looking to replace Puffs or Kleenex, because I have had a hard time finding them in stores in a 200mi radius, not sure about anywhere else in the country...

Thankful to have them
With no tissue available in the store, these are a godsend, because of my allergies, I need something to blow my nose with. Yes they are thin so I fold then before I use them and that works fine. Yes they are a little smaller than a tissue but no more than any inch. The only issue I have with them is that they aren't soft, in fact tgey are rough, so I suggest dabbing rather than wiping, this is why I have them 4 stars. Even after washing and using a dryer sheet in the dryer they're still rough.

47 cotton kleenex
I got 47 in my 50 pack, they are the same size as a keleenex and just as thin. I read reviews and discrimination multiple times before buying. In the end if we get 3-4 uses out of each it pays for it's self. They do wrinkle if not flattened wail warm out of the drier or hung to dry. They are 100% cotton so not silky or smooth. I would discribe them as white muslin fabric with mashine stiched micro edge.

Soft, small, nice weave
These are just what I was looking for! Small, very light cotton, but not abrasive like thin gauze-like weaves can be. I washed them first, a dozen at a time, then dried and ironed them. The hems hold up well and they're PERFECT in a pocket or purse. No bulk, yet great for sniffles or touch-ups.

Issues with hem
I bought the 14.9×14.9 handkerchiefs because I bought the 11x11 versions back in 2019. I loved those so much I decided to give these a try even though there was no review yet. Since there aren't any other reviews, I'm going to give a thorough and honest review. The good:-These come with stiffened, wash and feel better. I suggest that you pull on them diagonally slightly and reshape while they're wet and hang dry.-Started out at 15.5in and shrank to almost 14 inches. The size is not exact nor accurate to description.-Fabric is thin, but work fine. I like the thinness because I can fold these without the bulkiness, and I can use them comfortably on my nose. There is no issue with moisture seeping through.-I've tried some embroidery and crochet edging and they hold up nice. The bad:-Hem is good except for the end corner. They are are not secure and come apart a bit. The company should consider slowing down production a bit to allow for some backstitching to secure the end.-Some of the side hem aren't rolled properly and fray a bit-Out of the 50, all needed some repair- I had to repair either the end stitching and/or the side hemming where there was some fraying-I added a running backstitch on the corner where the company should have done the backstitching to allow for a secure finish. This should allow them to last longer without more fraying.-I did various fixing to the sides with fraying-I decided to keep them even with the issues because I really wanted the product, but it has been a bit frustrating to have to hem something that should have come okay.-It has also been frustrating that you can't get a replacement order even though the description says that they qualify for replacement. I contacted Amazon and apparently you can only return. I didn't want to return the item and then have to repurchase the same item at a higher price and risk having the same issue in the end.I don't know if I got a bad batch for the 14.9x14.9 versions (because the 11in versions came perfectly and never had an issue with them since my initial purchase), so I cannot speak to that. But there is clearly an issue with product quality control for the hem edging. Otherwise, these are pretty good hankies that are versatile in use (crafting, wrapping foods or items, wiping nose or seat, cleaning, etc). If you purchase these, you will end up with a hankie that will last a long time, but you may get some with hem issues if the quality control is poor for these versions.{pictures coming soon]

Arrived early
As described by seller. Bought for other reason than for use as handkerchiefs,& were plain without patterns in the thread weave, just what I wanted!
