I grew up in a time and place where Carnation's instant nonfat milk was the only brand on the shelf in our local supermarket. I hated the stuff. My mom used it from time to time and I wouldn't touch it. When I got old enough to buy my own food and cook, I never bought any brand of nonfat milk powder. I'd try to find a whole milk powder, which is still not common anywhere I shop - WHY??? - or make something else that didn't require it. Fast forward to 2023. I bought an ice cream machine, and found a recipe that makes fantastic soft-serve vanilla ice cream in 30 minutes. (It's the Serious Eats Philadelphia-style ice cream in case you wondered.) the recipe called for nonfat milk powder "for extra creaminess." No thank you - I'm not putting that stinky, vile stuff in my ice cream. Well, I thought about it. My ice cream tasted good but was indeed lacking in creaminess. So I ordered Judee's organic nonfat milk powder. To my surprise, it did not have that weird smell or taste like Carnation's. And it made a WONDERFUL addition to my ice cream. I've made it that way ever since. Pro tip: the reason for using a nonfat milk powder, as opposed to a whole milk powder, is because ice cream made with dairy heavy cream already has lots of fat. In fact, my ice cream had an unpleasant mouth-feel from the frozen fat. Using a nonfat powder takes that away.The clumpiness that other reviewers noted isn't an issue. Just stir vigorously and use a whisk. Don't be a baby. Judee's doesn't have any chemical additives in it that make it not clump. Because the ONLY ingredient is 100% nonfat milk powder. The powder comes in a pouch that protects it from spoilage and oxidation. After sitting in my cupboard for 6 months it still smells fresh. I'm very happy with this milk powder. I wouldn't hesitate to use it in any recipe, and recommend it to you .

Love this milk, clean ingredients and good quality. Love having and making my tea with this milk. Great taste, value for money and dissolves in hot water made for tea.

I appreciate the taste, dissolving, and nonfat quality of this product.1. There is about a one-inch gap in the top seal of the powdered milk bag. It is not wrapped separately and released contents into the Amazon box.2. Amazon’s loose plastic pillow packing was static charged with milk. The other items needed to be wiped and brushed. The outer Amazon box had an open corner which sprayed white on the floor.3. No returns on this product.

I like this product I particularly like that. It comes in a great big 5 pound bag because we use it daily in coffee, which makes it disappear very quickly. Unfortunately, it does not dissolve easily. It takes a little whipping, but if you mix it ahead of time that makes it easy.The only ones I’ve ever found that makes easily are the ones that are not organic. That’s cause they add junk to it to make it mix.

I love milk and am very pleased with this milk flavor. I don't go to the store very often so now I can have milk when I want it. It works great to mix in with dark cocoa and fake sugar packets to make hot chocolate. Price was good and the service fast.

This milk has a slightly better flavor than the name brand product. It mixes fairly well with vigorous whisking. I'm not sure if the extreme high price though makes it worth it over other brands. I can even get organic nonfat milk powder cheaper at the local health food store. This is not organic but non GMO and hormone free, but Carnation is also hormone free, so that wouldn't justify the higher price. It is 80 cents an ounce compared to 5 cents and ounce for Carnation and 78 cents and ounce for NOW organic nonfat dry milk. If it were also organic, that might justify extra cost but you since you can also get organic nonfat, dry milk a bit cheaper, it's a toss up.I ordered this during the pandemic because I couldn't get any other instant milk anywhere at the time. I use this in my yogurt and thought it might be handy to have some on hand in case there was a shortage of milk as was being predicted at the time, which actually never happened. Now that other brands of nonfat, dry milk are plentiful again, I probably won't order this again.

Dissolves easily and no added synthetic vitamins is a huge plus for me.
