Overall good - Cat scared at first, and somewhat misleading description
Bought this as a low-cost gamble to try to get my cat to stay awake during the day so she would sleep through the night and not wake us up at 4 am. Seems to be working. The base is sturdy, the materials low cost but haven't fallen apart. When activated, the butterfly attachment flitters and appears to flap about in a rapid circle around the base. A few things to note:> You need to install a few AA batteries in it (3 or 4), which it does not come with. If you're buying this and you don't have AA batteries, add some to your cart. > Seller says it comes with two replacement attachments. That is misleading - it does come with two attachments total: one to install right away, and a backup to have as a replacement. So saying it comes with two replacement attachments is a bit leading. It comes with the attachment and one backup.> My cat was really scared of this at first. She would skirt around it, watch it nervously from across the room, and not play with it. The intense fluttery motion of the butterfly attachment was likely a bit too much for her. So, I tied a little heavier pom pom that she'd ripped off another toy onto the butterfly attachment. The result was that the butterfly hung lower to the ground, went a bit slower, and made a rattling noise like her other toy. This made all the difference, and she began playing with it immediately. If your car is indeed afraid of the toy, try attaching something that will make it hang lower and go slower, or that they recognize as a toy or toy component. This may work to entice them.In the end, it's keeping my cat awake during the day as I work from home, and that is helping immensely.

Entertaining, wrong color.
I think the product is what you pay for. A cheap solution to entertain energetic kitties. She did immediately like it. She did manage to take the butterfly out once so far. But I tried to make sure I put it in tighter the next time. I do like that it comes with the screw driver to open the battery compartment instead of depending on you to have the right one.The movement of the butterfly is pretty realistic even if it’s going in a circle. Really catches her attention. It’s adorable to watch her play with it.I did take a star off because I did not get the color I ordered. I ordered green and got yellow. But it not that big of a deal for me to consider returning it. Just that the green would have match the room better.I’m unsure of the long term durability at this point. Also not sure how long the batteries will last. I’m aware that it doesn’t have an automatic shut off. But I don’t plan to leave it on constantly. Only when I’m in the room or she is particularly energetic.

Lifelike, Beautiful Butterfly Toy that Your Cat May Become to Love!
The media could not be loaded. I'm not sure how long the butterfly pieces last. I haven't had my cat that long (just adopted her a few weeks ago!) and haven't gotten a ton of use out of it yet. However, from what I've seen, it's a very entertaining toy. I will say that, initially, she was very afraid and weary of it. I'm not sure if she was ever previously exposed to electronic, automated toys. Well, we gave her some time with it, and she eventually ended up accidentally nudging it and then started playing with it. Now, she absolutely loves it and fully interacts with it. It's one of her favorite toys. So, if your cat is weary, just give them some time with it. It is likely they will come around and grow to love it. Plus, it does come with an extra butterfly attachment (and you can buy a couple more pieces by themselves if you eventually need replacements). I was impressed with how realistic it is with the motion of the butterfly. The way it flutters makes it so lifelike. So, I definitely recommend you give this a try for your cat. With the price of it, you really aren't risking much financially. Hopefully it will be just as much of a hit with your cat. :)

My cat is à coward
Ok so i have an older cat hes like 8 he was a rescue.Thia toy looks and feels sorta cheap and thata ok. My buddy used and is using it and likes it! Hea so interested. At first i had to let him sniff it and slo2ly introduce him and he watched it for a long while àt first. He likes it so far. I only have one cat and it seems ok for that but multiple might tear this thing apart. For the price you cant go wrong. My phatty is really enjoying it and its keeping him occupied. The motor its to loud either to scare him away. He was struck by residual lighing shock one night. Lightning hit our house (hes inside claws ànd all) and hes scared of the vacuum to.The motor scared him at first but he got so brave and decided the butterfly was more annoying than his fear lol. This is a cute toy ànd worth the price try it. If your cats sàys no send it back. My Phatty says yes ao 2e are keeping it. Gl guys. Happy càts hàppy home. :)

Great Toy, but....
My cats loved playing with it--three of them watched waiting their turn as one of them played with it. Only gripe I have is that the toy does not turn off after a certain amount of time after the cats finally get bored with it--so you could burn out the batteries fast if you don't turn the toy off. I wait a while and turn the toy back on and they come back for more. Lastly, the spinning butterfly attachment stood straight up when the cats first played with the toy but after a few hours -- it ends up bent low to the floor spinning around. The cats still like it--it just isn't quite as fun for them. I'm thinking about buying another so the cats don't have to wait so long for their turn.

Butterfly Flies!
When I first showed this toy to my cat, he was perplexed of what to make of it: a mixture of wonder and caution dominated his hesitant approach with little paws. However, after 3 minutes or so of the demonstration, he became courageously approaching and then chasing the flying butterfly with his little paws. Since that day, the toy has become his main toy, always chasing and stalking. However, I wish a stalk to which a butterfly is affixed was sturdier so that it would withstand the viscosity of power that the cat exerts with his paws and teeth. Which means you have to buy a set of replacement butterflies on amazon. Nevertheless, this moving butterfly toy will entertain your cat for a long time.

It catches my Persian's interest right from the start and keeps it
The media could not be loaded. My Persian Diva does not get amused easily. She is 2 years old and just loved this toy. Every time I turn it on she plays. I am in many Persian groups and had chats with other owners and this is the toy most of them said that their babies played with as well. I give it a 10+.

Cats love it but it's flimsy.
Cats love the toy, only draw back is they knock the toy over or rip the butterfly/wire section from the main section so someone needs to be around to get it back in working order on a very regular basis.
