Wow! Great buy!
The media could not be loaded. I'm in the process of packing up my house to move. I'm a fashionista (well, that's what I prefer to call myself; there are those who are quick to judge and are wont to call me a clothes horse or shopaholic, but they're just jealous!) and have several hats that I needed to find a way to transport without losing shape. I went on Amazon to search out "hat boxes" and found plenty of such items. However, they were mostly pretty and not necessarily for traveling (in my opinion) but for using at home as functional art (to display but also to hold your hats). Actually, I intend to buy some that I found, to use in just such a manner. In my search, I found this product and thought it might just do.I was right. As my title says: "Wow." That was my first reaction upon pulling it out of the box. The very LARGE box. Reading the measurements online didn't prepare my for just how large this was going to be.So, I pulled it out, found the Velcro straps on the sides that keep it flat, unfastened them, and—zap! The totally flat plastic object pops open to be exceptionally deep! And I wasn't expecting that.Excited to see how many hats I could get inside, I gathered my hats.First, let me say here that, before the "hat-box" search, I searched for "heads for hats" and came across one review in which the woman reviewing said she bought the heads for her hats, and, because some hats tend to tip the heads, she drilled holes into her heads, put in pebbles for weights, then closed up the holes. Now they sit in her closet without tipping over. I liked this idea and purchased the heads and then a bag of pebbles. Unable to wait for the heads, however, I grabbed my newest hat, went to Michaels, and found a medium-sized pumpkin, which fit my hat perfectly. (I also found a head.)I said all that to say this: Because this is a basic flat product, I put the pumpkin on the bottom to give my first-in hat support. (I'm not moving quite yet and didn't want my hats to lose shape while inside the bag). I tried the head, but the problem there is, without the pebbles inside (haven't gotten around to doing that yet), the head's unstable and wouldn't stay standing up. But the pumpkin, being flat on the bottom, presents no such balance problems AND supports the bottom hat.Okay, so, how many hats did I manage to get inside this once-flat "box"? I currently have 3 large-brimmed summer hats, 2 cloche hats, and 1 raffia cowgirl hat all inside. It's perfect! So, if you're looking for something just to transport several hats in, this should work well. But, because it's polyester, it won't provide protection from being squished or the sturdiness of those cardboard (or wooden) hat boxes. But it will do a good job of keeping the hats inside dust-free and of allowing you to put several in at once. The body of the “box” is black; the top is a clear vinyl (or some such see-through material). It has a zippered closure.Again, for storing up on a top closet shelf or transporting in the backseat of your car, this will work well. Don’t expect it to travel well if the movers load it themselves and toss it somewhere in the middle of your items. If you don’t see to it yourself and put it on top of whatever you’re transporting, it’ll get squished; it’s not a hard plastic or wooden product. Still, it’s a great buy for my purposes.Addendum 5/12/20—I'm finally getting around to posting the pictures of some of the hats I stored (shown on and off one of those heads I mentioned). Also, I'm posting a video I recently made. I had hoped to post three, but, apparently, I can only upload one video per review, so I'll post the first. In it, I take out all the hats I managed to pack inside. The pictures after just show the hats (as I mentioned above). In the second and third videos that I can't post, I tried to show how to collapse the "box." (But I can easily describe that: Just zip the plastic cover so that it's closed, find the sides of the "box" that have the Velcro straps, press the sides down, and then adhere the straps to their fastenings on the bottom of the "box." Et voila! The tall "box" is now relatively flat and able to be stored anywhere.) Forgive the amateurishness of the video, but I hope it helps bring my review to life. Also, I say that I bought this product in the spring or summer of 2019. Seeing my written review, it appears that I actually bought it in 2018, so my hats were stored even LONGER than I thought in my packing-up-to-move process! Oh, as to the fourth picture: I believe that measurement reading is 17½" across (diam.). Sorry that's it's rather blurry.

Very large
I only have three hats. I wanted to protect them from dust and am planning the organization of the house I'm currently building; therefore, I bought this. Guess I didn't translate the measurements too well, because this would hold a lot more than my three hats. That's not actually a problem. Probably not, but I might buy more hats in the future. The "problem" is that this is so deep, it extends way beyond the shelf in my closet. To address that, I put it in the corner; yes, up on my closet shelf, but in the corner. That'll work. Definitely wouldn't travel with this because it is just too big.

Christmas Hat Box
My oldest Granddaughter has wanted a hat box for quite a while now. She loves wearing different fedoras as well as other types of hats. She was THRILLED to get this...absolutely loves it! She moves around quite a bit and this hat box will help keep her "toppers" looking nice!! I would recommend this for anyone that wants a casual hat box!

Fair quality
This seems to be a good product for storage and care of many hats. Depth inside has much space to stack many hats. Inside vinyl material clean before placing hats inside. It's a fair product to purchase for many usage other than hats.

Just what my closet needed!
These are great! They are lightweight and large. I am able to lift to the top shelf of my closet and give a little push and they stay put. I actually ordered two to start and hurried and grabbed a third when I saw I needed an additional one. I have spouse's winter hats in one, summer in another, and my wide brim summer hats in the third. These are just as described and do the job of protecting hats in closets nicely. I highly recommend them. Be careful you made need more than one of these! They will hold five or six hats each.

Generous size. Soft and collapsible.
I had searched for a longtime for a hat container that could hold my large brimmed sun hats, and more than one hat as well. I don’t have room for 6 hat boxes. This fit the bill completely. I’ve got four hats in it, plus a couple of baseball caps and there’s still room. The only potential downside for someone(not for me) is that it’s collapsible and a combo of fabric and plastic. So, you can’t stack anything on it, and it’s not particularly strong or protective. But it’s just perfect for consolidating and protecting your hats from dust.

Decent quality and good storage.
The pop-up bag easily holds four large brim straw hats, three San Diego broad brim ribbon hats and a couple of gardening hats. One extremely broad brim straw hat easily sits on top - wrapped in plastic. I trimmed the corners from a couple of the forms the hats were shipped with to fit in the bag and to help keep the hat crowns intact. The bag sits out of the way at the end of my closet. While the bag takes care of all my hat storage, I do think it is a bit pricey for a plastic and nylon webbing item.

Nice Storage for hats
The Hat box can store at least 5-6 small hats and maybe 3-4 large hats. It is sturdy to keep holding up without folding to it original size. It keeps and minimizes hats from damages, due to crushing.
