Try the waffle recipe
Many wholesome and somewhat old fashioned vegan recipes. The waffles made with soaked, pureed legumes and oats are unusual, filling, and very tasty.

Living in the Kitchen
This book is definitely a back to basics cookbook for VEGETARIAN diet--not vegan, as I had hoped. Recipes are simple--no exotic flavors here--but not necessarily easy. Every recipe starts with whole grains, flour, whole dry beans, etc so that time is the most necessary ingredient in these recipes. From my perspective, Laurel's Kitchen is a much livelier and excellent recipe for vegetarians.

Finding good barley
For people in the know, this is a classic cook book, vintage 1974.The author of this book is Edyth Young Cottrell, research nutritionistat Loma Linda University School of Health. If you really care aboutyour health and what you eat, follow her advice and recipes.I purchased the book from Anthology Book Co., Loveland, CO.It arrived within a few days and was exactly as advertised, slightly used but in good condition. Childhood memories
My mom got this cookbook when I was a child, when it first came out. I remember some of the stuff she tried. I have tried a couple of the recipes and plan to do more. Eating healthy is important and this is a good start.

good cookbook
This is a very good vegan cookbook. My wife loves it. This is her second one. She wore the first one out. Great seller too.

Replacement
I bought this older edition so it would be just like the one that went awol. Unfortunately, because it was older the binding immediately broke spilling pages.
