We really enjoyed this at first
We really enjoyed this at first. It has a place for each piece to go and it's very convenient to be able to fold it up. Also we have a cat that likes to jump on everything so the magnets keep our game from getting disturbed. The problem is that we only played with it once before the top layer of laminate started to buckle and peel away from the board. I'm going to try to glue it back down but it doesn't seem like it's going to work very well. I don't think it's going to lay flat again. I'd say if you want a chess set with these types of features just spend a little more so you can get one that's more durable.

Great product, wasn't sure what to expect considering the price is so reasonable, but the workmanship is high quality. Its a great looking, solidly-made chess set. Get one.

cheaply made
Very small and cheap! Felt that holds the magnet looks like a 1st grader cut and put it on the bottom of each piece. If you're ok with cheap looking then this is for you. I was ashamed to give it as a gift.

Very satisfied.
I'm very satisfied with this chess set. The pieces are sized appropriately for the squares and the magnet in their base gives it some heft so they don't feel cheap. I'm a chess player and I plan to use it more for studying than traveling. The only downside i can think of is for using often (other than traveling) it might be a little time consuming to put each piece away rather than dumping them all together. I couldn't believe how much packing material they used to protect it during shipment.

Awesome craftsmanship. Beautiful.
This was a Christmas present to my husband and we finally get to see and use it today. Everything about this chess set is beautiful and well made: the chess pieces, the board itself.; the storage on the inside. A job well done. The instruction book included will come in very handy. It came very well protected and wrapped. Awesome. I would buy it again for friends and family.
