Hands down my favorite pocket knife
First off I want to say I am no knife snob by any means but I own a few mid range knives and this is my favorite BY FAR! This knife is extremely well designed more so than initially meets they eye. First the size is just right to easily fit in your pocket and big enough to do some serious work. It feels good in your hands and has a nice grip. The blade is made of a good quality steel and nicely sharpened out of the box. I love the shape of knife to, the fine point is great for stabbing into boxes or digging out slivers! Two things I have really come to appreciate about it that are not really advertised. I love the blade safety that prevents it from opening accidentally. Some of the knives I own do not have super stiff springs holding them closed (which would make them difficult to open) which always makes me nervous when I'm reaching into my pocket. I have even seen reviews here on amazon of people being cut by their own knifes reaching into their pockets because the blades were not quite closed. Can't happen with this knife. Secondly, guess which knife is easier to sharpen? One with a curved blade or a strait one like the leek has? Yup this knife is very easy to sharpen for that reason. Oh and did I mention it was made in the USA for a price equal to or lower than competing and often inferior quality foreign knives? I have only positive things to say about this knife.

Thin, sharp, convenient EDC item
I had a different Kershaw knife that I lost, but later found. I figured I'd get another one as backup, so this looked good. Upon receipt, I liked how it has a thin profile, the flip open has a touch of assistance to make it easier, and the blade is very sharp. I carry it every day, and like it better than the other knife, so I bought another one. The price seems reasonable, and the feel and function is very smooth.I didn't understand the little plastic 'slide' lever at the bottom, it appears it can be slid down to prevent the blade from opening. But when it gets loose, it is in the way. It ended up falling out, but I don't need it. I also like that this knife has a black clip, so it is less noticeable in your pocket. I like to be low-key when possible. It helps to have a tool with you, throughout the day there are odds and ends it helps to open, nice vs. a pair of scissors or your fingernails, prevents paper cuts. I love it.

Perfect medium EDC knife
I ordered this to try as an every day carry knife (EDC) and I like it a lot. It's really the perfect size for me and it's a good looking design. It's not too bulky in your pocket yet it has enough weight to not feel cheap and the fit and finish was good. This is a flipper with spring assist. Initially I wasn't sure I would like the spring assist but it turned out to be kind of fun. This particular model is a liner lock which I think looks a little nicer and is plenty strong enough for my needs. The Leek is also available as a frame lock and in a variety of materials and colors. There is a small manual safety that locks the blade in the closed position. I never purposely used the safety but found on rare occasions that it engaged itself, probably by being bumped during carry. I prefer that my knife open when I pull the trigger, so I removed the safety altogether. In several months of carry I have yet to see it open accidentally. There is one minor safety issue that you might want to be aware of. The tip of the blade comes to a very sharp point. If you have large hands and the meaty part just below where your thumb attaches (Thenar) happens to be to close to the end of the handle where the tip emerges, it will cut you. Only happened once, I promise, and it was more of an embarrassment than an injury. The pocket clip is reversible end-to-end but not side to side. If you carry tip up, which I prefer, the knife rides higher in your pocket leaving a little more than an inch showing. Carrying tip down would reduce that to about 1/2 inch showing above your pocket.Overall, I love this knife enough that if I lost it today, I would have another one on order by tonight.

GREAT EDC choice
Like a numpty, I left my previous EDC of ten years at a recycling center, so I did way too many hours of research to find a worthy replacement. I was torn between the Leek and others, but had heard so many praises of Kershaw's quality and customer service, that I decided on this one. I'm very glad I did. It exudes quality and is so unnoticeable in my pocket that I forget it's there until I need it.Things I love: sleek, classy design (not overly tactical like most knives), slim profile without feeling too minimalistic, great fit and finish, the black grips are very good quality, the blade safety is nice because the open assist is strong and I could see it accidentally opening. It came sharp--not razor-close-shave-sharp, but sharp enough for anything I could see myself using it for. I don't normally shave with a knife. The tip, as some have mentioned, is pretty thin, so it's not by any means designed to be a heavy duty knife. If you like to bury the tip of your knives in wood, you'll likely see it chip or bend, but otherwise it should be fine.
