Yep, it'll do Sabbath, but as a boost it makes every pedal on my board roar. Really wasn't expecting it to be this great. Sorry I held off so long on it. Great doom/sludge tones. Buy one!

Christmas gift for my husband and he loved it!

The media could not be loaded.  I was really excited to try out this pedal but after receiving it, putting in a new battery, and plugging it in I find out that it doesn’t power on at all. I know it’s not my power source because my other pedals all work. Very disappointed.(Update) I ordered what I thought was a different new pedal because it was under a completely different post, description and price. I received the pedal just now, went to plug it in, no power. I open the back and find the same battery that was in the last one (I recognized because it’s not a common battery.) I change the battery to a new one and again nothing. I am beyond livid that Amazon would knowingly sell the same broken item of this price TWICE to an avid customer like myself. This should be illegal. I contacted Laney to see if I can fix without return but if I do be on the look out for this pedal. I will leave a tiny mark for others to find so they know they too received a broken item that Amazon knowingly sold them. F-

This will give you the authentic Black Sabbath sound. Put it in between a Revv G3 and a Marshall stack. Make sure to wear hearing protection and there's no glass in the room.

Tony Iommi in a pedal. Nicely done. Useful with a "dark" guitar amplifier. Excellent in creating guitar parts that cut through the mix.

Got the sound I was looking for!

It sounds fine but at least once a jam session my patch cable pops out of the input jack. It just keeps slowly pushing out until it loses contact. Trying to see if it's getting better before I decide if I should return it.

Obwohl man das Gerät auch als linearen Booster betreiben kann, liegt natürlich, als Variante der Dallas Rangemaster, sein eigentlicher Zweck in der Verwendung als Treble Booster, der vor einen bereits verzerrten Amp geschaltet wird, um den Klang weniger basslastig und durchsetzungsfähiger zu machen. Toni Iommi hat sich wohl seinen Rangemaster vor Jahrzehnten stark modifizieren lassen und diese Klangvorstellungen bildet der TI- Boost offensichtlich ab. Durch seine Regelmöglichkeiten im Bass-, Höhen- und Gainbereich ist er äußerst vielseitig an die klanglichen Eigenschaften verschiedener Verstärker anpassbar. Dabei beschränkt sich sein Anwendungsbereich nicht nur auf Metal- bzw. Hardrocksounds, sondern kommt immer da zur Geltung, wo verzerrte Gitarrensounds im Spiel sind. Der Boost glänzt nicht nur bei Vintage Amps, sondern lässt sich hervorragend beim Kemper und Konsorten zur Klangformung einsetzen. Für mich ein Swiss Army Knife! Teilweise werden dem geneigten Gitarristen bei anderen Marken saftige Preise für eine vergleichsweise simple Schaltung abverlangt. Das ist hier nicht der Fall! Zugreifen!

Ce boost signature Iommi est le meilleur que j’ai eu sous la main! Il est vraiment possible de se travailler un son intéressant tout en chauffant les lampes de l’ampli! Je l’utilise avec Randall, Bugera, Palmer et Blackstar!

Als clean-Booster ist das Ding echt gut, als Low-Gain overdrive leider komplett nutzlos, da die Gain-Struktur irgendwie komisch klingt. Für alle die sich fragen: Das Pedal hat (leider) mit dem Sound vom Laney LA-Amp absolut NICHTS zu tun! Der L-Regler fürs Lowend ist aber echt beeindruckend. Ich habe schon echt viele Pedals getestet und noch nie hat mich das Lowend eines Pedals so beidruckt. klingt richtig fett un dvoll, ohne irgendwie den Sound zu matschen.Daher, wie gesagt: wer einen cleanbooster sucht, probiert es aus! Werden Sound von verzerrten Laney Amps oder Toni Iommi sucht? nope!

Very good pedal,adds drive and boost to a dirty amp,or as an overdrive to a clean channel.NOT a high gain distortion pedal.

I generally don't use effects very often but I do build my tone the old-fashioned way by running an always-on booster into the front of a good valve amp set just on the edge of breakup - ie. 60s to early 70s gain levels on the amp (like a Plexi or maybe the Normal channel of an AC30). As such, I rely on a good booster to get my tone where I need it.As it happens, I've always been a big fan of Tony Iommi's playing but, since my Laney amp already has a built-in booster, that's not what I bought this for. In the main, I've been using it between a Strat and a Marshall JVM and it sounds great. Although it's based on Iommi's old modded Rangemaster, it's much meatier sounding than my own Rangemaster and really makes the Strat sing. But it's equally good with my Gibsons. Great little unit. Similar features to the Spark booster I use with my backup Marshall but better tonally and a much more solid and rugged build quality - this is the booster I'll be using with the band from now on.
