Purchased a new area rug for my living room. Did not want to use the "foam" material pad that was under the old rug so I bought this one. It fits perfectly under my rug...about a 1# over hang of the rug on all sides which is perfect. One side feels a little sticky so your rug will not slip as you walk and clean it. Have been using it now for over a month and it is great. (The pad did smell when I opened it but I spread it out over a bench on my patio and after a few hours, that odor was gone.)

I was looking for something to help hold this rug in place. I bought the rug from IKEA and really love it, but it's a thin woven rug with no grippers or anything underneath. I have 2 very high strung dogs that like to get the zoomies and spin in circles, so this rug wasn't doing very well on its own, unfortunately. I got this rug pad a little larger than what I needed and cut it down. I also used rug tape underneath and attached it to the rug pad. It's perfect. It's been one day so far, but that rug hasn't moved, not even the corners. This is a MUST HAVE if you have a thin woven rug, definite game changer!

I purchased to use under a Jute rug in my bedroom. It had a strong odor when it was removed from the packaging that took a couple days to air out. Adhesion to the hard wood floors and under my rug worked as expected.
