This is the lowest price Kohler replacement set I could ...
This is the lowest price Kohler replacement set I could find. Works well. All metal. Replacing trim that had gold accents so this inexpensive set was an upgrade. Nothing fancy or modern but works well. Would definitely purchase again.

Kohler needs to give clear valve compatibility info
None of their trim products state what valves they will fitIf that's what rough-in talks about, as a layman, I don't knowI've been avoiding buying one of these products for months because I don't know what will work with my GP77759.The GP77759 is listed under "Frequently bought together" but that's not a statement by Kohler.Do other trims shown with other valves mean that they're not compatible with the GP77759?NOTE: My 1-star rating is for Kohler generally - I've not purchased this item so my review is not for the use of this product

If you have an older K15877 Coralalis PBU valve - heres how to fit this newer trim
If you have an older K15877 Coralais valve + pressure balancing valve (will not work on non-pressure balanced valves) then Kohler just released a Retrofit kit to fit newer Coralais trim/handles, you will need to order 2 parts (confirmed with Kohler Customer Service):1) Part # 1307346 (Mixer Cap Retrofit Kit)2) Part # GP800820 (Pressure Balancing Unit, aka"PBU")Note: The install has a few tricks:1) Ensure tab on mixer valve (part that stops orange temp set ring) is on top when installed (if it’s on bottom, hot water will come out first and be too hot).2) Adjust rite- temp orange ring to correct temp before fitting handle.3) My install required I use the screw-on adapter.. this necessitated me cutting a bit off the chrome plastic sleeve which covers the black plastic between handle and large chrome plate. Problem was I couldn’t screw adapter all the way in due to screws protruding so it sat out a bit, preventing sleeve from fully seating. I actually had to use a dremel to shave down the tabs and has of the black plastic to allow sleeve to seat deeper. AJ also has to use a dremel cut disc to cut the chrome plastic sleeve (don’t cut too much off or it will show between large chrome plate. You might have to press large chrome plate on against the shower wall with screw adapter and sleeve in place to to see how much to cut off (if any).. The chrome sleeve ended up matching the edge of the black screw on adapter (comes with the shower trim kit). Also press sleeve through large chrome plate from chrome side because foam will bend back correctly (might need to use some goo gone to clean up sticky residue left by foam seal). I ended up using the shorter set of screws included to attach the large chrome faceplate to the screw on adapter.. also you will need to adjust the screw on adapter so the screws thread through the metal plate holding the mixer valve on.3) The Koehler shower head leaked from the threads using the supplied head and bent pipe... used Teflon tape and still leaked. Tried again using about 4 wraps of Teflon tape and finally stopped the leaking.. unfortunately had to use a pipe wrench to screw in shower head because it required force and Koehler had the smallest flat sips of shower head so you couldn’t really grip shower head. All in all, was able to use the retrofit kit and trim kit together and looks great. Was not as straightforward a job as I had expected and perhaps Kohler’s trim kit could have been engineered a bit more logically but it finally worked - took a few hours to finally rig it all but happy with the upgrade.
