As mentioned before, the author is very resourceful and quick to respond to questions. After browsing through the chapters and reviewing some of the additional teacher resources (designed for classroom use), I found the book to very highly consistent with professional standards of successful implementation. She walks through and explains how to properly conduct many of the essential, yet often overlooked stages of process planning, vendor selection, and post-implementation evaluation. For being just under 200 pages, this is about as comprehensive as you'll find.Modern ERP is a great book for ERP newcomers looking to understand the implications of ERP as well as professional / experienced ERP salespeople, consultants, or system administrators looking to refine their skills and knowledge base.

Somewhat dated, no PLM content

This book gives a good overview for what ERP is standing for. Beginning from the basics till a more advanced level. I am using this book in addition of following classes about ERP. This book gives good insight.
