Nurse approved
Comfortable for a nurse on their feet all day. The anti-roll bar keeps my ankles supported. The style isn’t flashy or outrageous that others might be bothered.

Great sturdy shoe
These are a great shoe through a new balance and I have ordered them several times. Having arthritis in my feet please help me walk very well and keep myself balanced. I definitely will buy them again and again.

great for wide feet
fit extremely well, with wiggle room in the toe box. very comfortable; don't need to break them in, they feel flexible and normal from the first wearing.no strike path, but I will only be using them for cardio, so hopefully won't need it. lost a star because the laces aren't long enough to go through the last set of eyelets; I'm going to have to buy my own.

Best sneaker ever!
I’ve purchased multiple pairs of this style shoe for years. I’m not a runner. I’m just an over-60 everyday women & they provide amazing support & durability.

Ripped at toe area , tried two different pairs.
The shoes is overall very good. But unfortunately the mesh is too thin and twice (I tried two different shoes) torn at the toe. Will be looking for a new company or shoe. bummer.

Why New Balance? X-Wide Widths!
It became painfully obvious that the shoe size I had ordered for years was no longer working. After an online search, I found that the New Balance website has the best foot measurement charts for men, women and children - including WIDTH measurements - that can be downloaded and printed. I discovered I needed an 8 XX-wide shoe. Unfortunately many shoe manufacturers don’t offer Wide or X-Wide widths (let alone XX-Wide), but New Balance does in several styles.I ordered 3 pair, the #1540 V3 (Version 3), #877 V1 and #577 V1. Only the first two fit perfectly. They both have a SL-2 last (narrow heel, deep toe box and wide forefoot). The 577 was too tight across the top and will be returned. I’ve worn the others and they’re so-o-o comfortable. In fact, I’ve ordered second pairs of both. Thanks to the measurement charts I also discovered that if 8 XX-Wide wasn’t available, I could go up a size to 8-1/2 X-Wide for the correct width. It only adds a hardly noticeable additional 1/4” space at the toes. A second option was buying the same styles in Men’s size, but from what I’ve read, men’s shoes are wider at the heel.New Balance seems to have great reviews for most of their styles. The main complaint I find across several styles with mesh is that some develop “toe holes” at the big toes. Mine are still brand new, so I can’t verify that. Right now I’m able to be on my feet all day in comfort. This shoe purchase(s) has been a learning experience, and I’m extremely happy with the outcome. A dozen pair of my old shoes are already out the door and my feet are not missing them.

Wear and tear
These shoes offer less support than others. Though they are comfortable. Theres plenty of room in the shoe. After 4 months, the shor has started forming holes on the top mesh where toes go. I havent ever had a shoe fail at that point. I walk alot for my job, and usually the soles wear out and the rest of the shoe is fine. That wasnt the case with these.
