AquilaSuper Nylgut AQ-101 Soprano Ukulele Strings - Low G - 1 Set of 4

The strings are very nice, but there is a very definite difference in tone between the wrapped low-g string and the others. It mellows after a while, which is nice, but it's noticeable.

Great strings with clear tone. Nice tension too. They definitely don’t feel flimsy. I play more individual notes and melodies so it’s perfect for me.

These strings will work okay on my ukulele, but I will still be looking for a better set. The strings are stiff, which makes them difficult to install. The sound is plasticy. The Good: I can strum and pick more aggressively when I want to really project the sound.

The uke stays in tune longer, the sound is clear and crisp, It sounds so good.

Aquila's are my go to. I've been playing them for years and find that they sound so much better than anything else.

Good strings. I've been purchasing Aquilas for some uke re-strings I've been doing and they are of good quality.

I should have read the reviews more carefully. The description did not indicate that the low G is wound steel. It sounds like a buzz saw! The Nylgut strings sound great. The steel string buzz dominates a strum though. Some say it mellows with time. So, I will leave them on for a bit to see, but the fresh sound of the set is very different.

Feels like a quality string and very nice for Blues Uke which is something I enjoy. The strings show up nice on the fretboard backdrop.

The string for the low g string is steel... nothing about it on the packaging. They only tell about how awesome the super nylgut strings are... but you get a metal one for the low g string. Sound completly different than the other strings.
