This does exactly what it says. Measuring your pH (saliva is more indicative than urine) is important since most people are acidic and this is an unhealthy condition. It is difficult to recover from an illness or chronic condition if your body is acidic. I found it incredibly interesting that raising your pH (to alkaline) is an effective cancer fighter! If you're curious (and for your sake, I hope you are) read Sodium Bicarbonate: Nature's Unique First Aid Remedy by Mark Sircus. You'll be amazed at how cheap and easy it is to make a significant positive impact on your health.By the way, I tried the paper with a 5.5-8.0 test range as well, thinking the narrower range would make the readings more accurate. But I found the 5.0-9.0 paper easier to read. I've read that the 6.0-8.0 might be better and I'm going to try that next. Good luck!

Works great and easy to match color scale. Tested several liquids and got the results expected.

simple to use and reasonably effective. Needed to pull and cut off strips in advance to ensure that my wet fingers did not mess up the strips before could use them to check sample. Considering cost and relative accuracy they are a good tool and bargain.

I have many different versions of these ph papers...These colors show up very strong which makes it very easy to determine myph. Why one brand is better or different from another might depend on the quality. I believe this is one of the best ph testingproducts I've purchased.

I was disappointed this product did not work. Urine and saliva... Nothing worked!

I was going to use these to monitor my aquarium and I am quite disappointed with them for two reasons. First, I used a pH meter for some comparison readings of my tank water; the strips read 6.5 or 7 when the meter read 8.0 to 8.2 (I work in a water lab and calibrated the meter personally). The second problem is likely the reason behind the first problem- this particular product is meant for buffered solutions and does not react strongly to the aquarium water. The listing does not state this anywhere and I only found this out when I read the box it came in. If it had said that anywhere in the listing I would not have purchased this product.I didn't give it 1 star since I'm sure it works well for what it was intended for- buffered solutions.

If you need to keep track of you PH, this works very well

I used to work in a lab in which I had use of a pH meter. Now, I do not. This paper is fine for my purposes of measuring the soil pH around some sensitive plants.
