EVER BASS FISHERMAN NEEDS THESE
I learned how to handled fish like a lot of people, the wrong way. When I was a kid I was taught to grab around the body of the fish and pull the hook out. This is bad for the fish, especially bass. They have a protective slime coating that is easily compromised which makes them susceptible to disease. You should handle and touch bass as little as possible to prevent from removing this slime coating. That's where these grips come in. Especially when you are using treble hooks these grips are essential to secure to the fish and remove hooks. This is a device that protects both the fish and the fisherman. These grips function flawlessly and with ease. I especially appreciate how small and light they are which makes them perfect for a bank or kayak fisherman.

Good, but check the size.
I bought these to replace some metal fish grippers that weren’t working g well anymore. I wanted some plastic floating ones for use on my kayak. The Rapala fish grippers have been around for a long time I’ve seen them used in a lot of YouTube videos as well. I didn’t think to check the size. I was laughing when I pulled these out of the box because they are tiny. (6”)I was hoping for something with a little bit of reach for grabbing them out of the water. These small ones would still be fine for grabbing them out of a net or for a photo op.

Great size
The rapala 6 inch fish gripper works for us. I didn't want anything big and floating was important to me, since we like to wade fish a local river. We have caught numerous good size walleye and these grippers work exactly like they should.

strong lip grippers
It's honestly amazing the strength of these little grips. I use them all the time when fishing. I like them so much I have 3 pairs, one for the boat, one for my go-bag and a backup in my car incase I forget it. Great for weighing your prized catch or just an easier way to hold the fish for a photo or release. I held a 44lb amberjack no problem with these grips. And they float if you drop them accidentally, but IDK how you would because they aren't slippery even when you got slime on your hands.

Amazing
The media could not be loaded. This thing is epic. Mandatory for toothy fish and great for anything that you can fit in its mouth. I use this on bass all day long. I don’t care if you think I’m a baby. I would rather be called that than wind up with a hook in my hand from a thrashing fish.

Great addition to my tackle box
I'm a catch and release guy, these make it so much easier to handle fish unharmed. I bought 2.
