At 8 meters it's nice and long so that my whippet can run and roam on walks. The spring has just the right amount of recoil and the tape seems to be very free moving and does not get tangled. Nice feel to the lead , comfortable and feels like it is well made and will last . The only negative point I would make is that I find the lock mechanism can be a bit fiddly. It's easy to lock the lead, important as my whippet will lunge at rabbits/ cat/ cattle etc , but it can be awkward to release the lock and can take a second or two . Overall a minor point for what is an excellent lead.

i found this not to be compleatly free retracting after several uses it does retract but not as quick as the none tape type but it does feel stronger

I like the retraction on this on it doesn’t stick like some! It can be chewed though so be warned!

Good length , sturdy and so glad was a ribbon as much more hand friendly

The one I had was too short and this gives my dog more freedom

This was bought as a gift. I already have one and was admired .it gives the dog a sense of freedom but your still in control. Excellent quality and good value.

The button can be a bit iffy and I only have a small dog so I can imagine with a big dog it may not be reliable

Our old lead mechanism broke so went for overkill 50kg lead for our bulldog. It's a strong feel in the hand and comfortable. I'm used to a button you hold down to stop the lead but as you put the button down it locks and then you have to push the middle button to release. This can be a bit fiddly if you're wanting to click on and off quickly. One thing I noticed and it's not necessarily a bad thing. But if the leads extended fully and the wind is blowing into it if your dog comes closer it doesn't retract straight away it leaves alot of it loose as it catches the wind real easy. It's only day two but so far so good.
