Fabulous!
It's a Traeger - need I say more? After 12 years we felt it was time to upgrade our Traeger, & we couldn't be happier! It's digital, slightly larger than our 22, & very handsome! Huge bonus: Two awesome & knowledgeable Amazon delivery drivers assembled it with care & hauled off the packaging - free of charge! Yep, you read that right!Time to bake some blueberry muffins!

Ecstatic after my first cook
My buddy got a Traeger 570 last year and I was sufficiently impressed that I had been looking for an excuse to get a smoker myself after doing it on my gas grill with indirect heat and smoke tubes. Watched dozens of video reviews of different brands and kept coming back to the Traeger. Decided on the 780 Pro for the WiFire and larger cooking area. Scheduled a delivery on a Friday afternoon, assembled it with a little help from the wife to make sure I didn't pull anything while standing it back up on it's legs, and did the seasoning all in about 2 hours. I've seen several complaints about the wifi connection process, but mine went smoothly and connected the first time (make sure your phone is on the 2.4ghz network you want the grill to be on; easy peasy). Woke up a 0 dark thirty the next morning and set the grill for 275 to preheat while I trimmed up and seasoned the boston butt. The 780 got to temp in about 20 minutes even though it was 29 degrees outside when I started. Got the meat on and smoked then wrapped for about 9 hours total. I did use one smoke tube of pellets to give some extra smoke, since the 780 doesn't have the "super smoke" option the Timberline models do. Temps never wandered more than about 8 degrees up or down according to the app and the probe alarm told me when we'd hit 205. Even the wife was really impressed with the flavor and tenderness of the pork. So far I'm really happy with my purchase and looking forward to doing the Thanksgiving turkey this year!

Makes Smoking/Grilling a Dream
I previously used a vertical propane smoker, which was so much work to regulate temps and constantly add water. A couple of my friends switched to pellet smokers this year from brands like Traeger and Camp Chef, but after asking their opinions the Traeger had a better reputation and features. The choice between the Ironwood and Pro 780 kind of comes down to the super smoke and pellet level options. I couldn't justify the extra expense so I went with the Pro 708 and couldn't be happier. For extra smoke, I bought a $7 pellet tube that enhances smoke for many hours when I need it.The ease of use coupled with the mobile app allows me to smoke from anywhere. We boat and being able to be on the beach and keep an eye on the smoker is an amazing life improvement. All I need to do is jet back after a couple hours, wrap the ribs, and head back knowing that the temps are going to remain spot on for consistent results.I really don't have any negatives other than the somewhat high price and lack of included fold-down front shelf, but the WiFire feature alone is worth it! I am also curious why the plug doesn't have a ground on it considering you are using it outside and it can get wet. I am also concerned if it has some kind of surge protector in it since the electronics are sensitive and would hate to have moisture risk damaging the device. I did buy a cover though, but humidity will always find a way.I highly recommend this if you love to smoke/grill with consistent results and want to be able to just walk away and spend time with friends instead of the distractions of managing the grill.

Great Grill But.....
This is the first pellet grill I have ever purchased. Very easy to assemble. Took about an hour and no problems at all. I purchased the shelf with mine and glad I did. Seems to have a big temperature variation, but from everything I've read, it's normal. Have cooked ribs, chicken, and a beef brisket so far, and all turned out great, although the brisket took 4 hrs longer than expected. I love the size, and I could have cooked all 3 at once had I wanted to....Amazon let me down on this one. I've purchased many many things over the years but this will probably be my last purchase. I put it together the day after I got it. The next day Amazon had it for $200 cheaper. I called and was told since it was so much cheaper that they could not price match it. If it had been $100 cheaper they could have credited my account and none of that made sense. It doesn't change how much I like the Traeger grill only how much I dislike Amazon now.

Awesome Smoker
I absolutely love the smoker, it is very easy to use, and is extremely nice quality. My only issue with it is it doesn’t put out enough smoke so to increase the amount of smoke I bought a LIZZQ 12” Premium Pellet Smoker Tube from Amazon and it made all the difference in the world. Just pack it full of pellets, and light it with a torch of some sort, I have a propane torch that I use and put it inside the smoker and it seriously increases the amount of smoke while cooking.

Traeger doesn't disappoint! This is an excellent BBQ and has WiFi controls to the pellet hopper. Easy to assemble and use.
