The quality of this hat is comparable to hats at much higher price. The fit of XL is perfect for me. I purchased this hat for daily winter wear. I highly recommend this hat.

I purchased this hat, and 2 others, for my husband for Christmas, since I wasn't sure which one would look the best or about the sizing. I purchased the Medium size of all 3 hats but this one was the smallest and fit the best. It is likely to stretch slightly with wear. This one was also the best in profile, meaning it wasn't too tall. The olive color really is dark but it is nice and matches many things my husband wears. He is not crazy about the wider hat band but he hasn't changed it out yet.

Great wool felt dress hat? Holds shape and form

Over the years I have returned multiple Scala hats due to poor quality or weird fit, but this hat came out of the box in good condition, good quality, and looks great. The XL is a little too big for my head, but if I go smaller, it will be too small and be uncomfortable to wear so I padded the sweatband a little and its doable. I would rather have it be too big rather than too small (that's what she said eh hem). I went ahead and purchased another color based on the looks, condition, and feel of this hat.Second hat: This hat came to me in a clear plastic bag. No box and nothing else to protect the hat. It was also shipped during the peak of the Christmas season and surprisingly the hat arrived in perfect condition. It was not crushed, folded, creased, wrinkled, or mis-shapened in any way. The hat was literally in perfect condition with a perfect shape. I don't know how that is even possible traveling so many miles, in so many different airplanes and trucks with nothing more than a plastic bag to protect it. The grey color is also perfect. Not too light and not too dark. I'm glad I purchased a second hat.
