Q: will the 8" petrageous dog bowls marked "food" and "water" fit in a feeder stand that measures 8" in diameter?

They should. The rim of the bowls are 8 inches, but the actual inside diameter is only 6 1/2 inches. HOpe this helps.

Q: Where are the bowls made?

Good question. I looked and it only references the company, Petrageous, and they are microwave and dishwasher safe. You might have to search their site.

Q: Has anyone else had a problem with the interior bottoms of the bowls turning a brownish color? I've had these for about 9 months.

No I have not had any problems with it turning brown.

Q: What is the approximate weight of the bowls? I am looking for something decently heavy so my dog can't push it around.

We have them elevated in a holder, but the bowls are very sturdy; about 1-2 pounds each, and I don't believe a dog can push it around just from eating. Perhaps if your doggie pushed it around with his nose, but they pretty much stay put. Good luck. We love them.
