Q: Is it Bluetooth only?

No, the Westone W-80’s are Blue Tooth and non blue tooth Tripowin (the best) cable that can be purchased at Amazon.

Q: work with any phone ?

I can only answer this with response to Apple IPhone. An adapter is needed for regular cable (lightning and 3/5th)

Q: Has anyone compared these to the flagship sony in-ears? i own the flagship sony over-the-ears and these w80 2nd gen. am curious what i'm missing.

I have owned the Westone W-80 earbuds Gen 2 for over a year and I have never heard the sound, depth and soundstage that I’ve heard with my 80’s. I have had Shure 846’s, Etimotic, Sennheiser, Sony and Bose earbuds, and nothing remotely compares to my 80’s. The 8 drivers contribute to a sound that I have never heard before. They eliminate external sound and are also very comfortable. Jeff Webb
