I was a bit skeptical about this "fix" but to my surprise, it worked perfectly. I don't know how long it will last, but I got a two-pack, so I have a backup when it does die. My son finally revealed how he broke the audio jack on the remote, but since it was cheap and easy enough to replace (found several YouTube videos), it wasn't a big deal. I am shocked at how Microsoft designed these. It's like they planned on an eventual break, and likely, new remote purchase for $50! Glad there was a much cheaper alternative!!
