Excellent quality
This is an excellent product at an affordable price. I also have a Mackie 8 channel of the same model and love them both. Controls are easy to use, multiple variations of connectivity, and all around a solid construction. I DJ in my spare time and all of my equipment is Mackie because in my opinion they supply the best equipment for the money.

This Mixer is Awesome!
This mixing board can be used as a regular mixing board or an Audio Interface via USB port. This is awesome. Has 24 built in Effects to add to you mix. Has "Combi" jacks to use either XLR or Line In inputs on 2 channels, then has separate XLR and Line In jacks on two different channels and Line In for instruments on other channels. Has a "Low Cut" filter or "high pass" whatever you want to call it that allows frequencies above a certain frequency or cuts out frequencies below a certain frequency. Has separate Low, Mid, and High equalization, and an FX mix knob to add FX's into your mix. Pan knobs and more. For the money this is an excellent buy!

Windows Driver Required - Overrides existing audio drivers
I am a mobile DJ. I bought this mixer to be part of a standalone wireless wedding system. The specs look great, but not suitable for my needs. I'm not knocking this mixer. It's a great mixer and if I were using it for podcasting, recording, or producing, this would be an ideal choice. However, as a mobile DJ, this is not the ideal mixer for me.My main go-to mixer is the Mackie ProFX8V2. It works great for my needs but is no longer produced. The difference between V2 and V3 mixers is that V2 mixers are USB plug and play while V3 mixers are not. The V2 mixer acts as an external sound card when connected via USB and uses no unique drivers. V3 is different. It's not explained in the product description here, but PCs must download a Windows driver from Mackie.com to connect the mixer to your laptop via USB. (Mac systems do not require an additional driver.) This is a great improvement in a studio setting. The driver allows terrific communication from mixer to laptop and back again allowing you to use DAWs and stream your mix online. Once installed, the driver autostarts with your system and runs 'Mackie Control Panel' in the tray. My antivirus flagged the driver as operating like a trojan so I needed to let it bypass my antivirus.I use Breakaway Audio Enhancer on my laptop. The Mackie Driver and Breakaway are not compatible.I use VirtualDJ2021 to play and mix tracks on my laptop. I send the music to my mixer via USB to mix it with live microphone inputs. Onboard mixing controls are important to me to control what I send out to my PA system. The onboard controls fall short here. There is no USB gain control nor USB volume control. Instead, there is a "Blend" knob which allows you to adjust the ratio of USB audio to Live inputs from the mixer. The combined signal is then directed out through the mains. During a live gig, it's important for me to be able to see and adjust USB levels to have a full sound while avoiding clipping. This mixer does not have PFL on the channels. During a live gig, for me it's important to check a channel's level before making it live to the audience. This mixer does have mute on each channel, which is a nice feature especially at the end of a karaoke singer's performance just before they yell into the mic.So, overall, this is a great little mixer for studio use but for live mixing there are better options out there.

Awesome Mixer and Received All the Extras as Stated
I received all of the extras that were promised/stated for this order exactly as they are pictured/stated.Anyways, on to the most important part - the mixer...What a great mixer! I am upgrading from an original Mackie 1402VLZ (version 1 I would imagine) that I bought 15 or so years ago. This mixer is such a nice upgrade for half the price of what I paid for the 1402VLZ mixer, however I'm getting less channels with the Mackie ProFX10v3 and the pots are rotary instead of vertical faders/pots, but I look at that now as an upgrade as my old 1402 Mackie would gather dust in those vertical faders and I would have to use cans of air to clean them out much more than I would with a better sealed rotary pot. If you're a Mac user who uses Logic Pro X you are pretty much ready to roll as your Mac will recognize the USB I/O on the ProFX right away. All I had to do was switch my audio settings in the Preferences on Logic Pro and I was back in business. I was previously using a Presonus breakout box I bought around 8 years ago which was used to convert the analog audio to digital for Logic Pro. The inputs and faders are whisper quiet when your device is not being used which is a nice change from my 14 year old Mackie. I've also been testing out the built-in FX which I may try out when plugging a guitar directly into the mixer. They sound pretty decent but I imagine they're best used for live gigs instead of recording (I don't want to be limited or stuck with that FX sound in my final mix). Also, the footprint of this ProFX10v3 mixer is much smaller than my old 1402VLZ mixer. All in all I would highly recommend this mixer for any small home studio.

Love this mixer!
I had an old behringer 12 channel Eurorack, and my husband had an even older 22 channel. Both with FX.I wanted a USB model and so I started the hunt.I selected this one because it had compression, fx, and the price was right. The 22 channel [over 20 years old] had begun getting noisier and a couple channels were gone. The 12 channel was just getting noisy and I had been wanting USB for a while. All I can say is qhy did I wait so long! The sound is incredible. I sing Karaoke and was a little worried I would have to go into a channel from my sound card but evidently stereo mix is default. These are the very same mp3s I have always played on my computer, but they sound worlds better.Every instrument I can hear. Every fret noise. I'm in love with it.The old mixer I went in through my line input and the music never actually went through it, so that was all my sound card for the music.Night and day. I have not tried the mixer connected to a speaker.Husband says there is a bit of a delay from his piano, but he hasn't played with it enough yet to know if it is a setting.Definitely happy with my purchase so far.
