Needed to apply an antibiotic cream to a spot on my back where a dermatologist had done some work. This was twice a day. Easy with the wife home. She was temporarily not available so I was on my own. Used these monster Q tips, my PC and a camera. Hooked the camera to the PC, bent the q tip, applied med to Q tip then to my back using the swab. End result----------job done by me without help other than from my good ole PC. Can't complain. Side benefit, the q tip thing is so large it's a little funny giving me a bit of humor there.Anyway, to sum it up, if you need a humongous q tip this will do it well.

These are so perfect for cleaning dogs ears!! They don't hurt or poke like the little skinny ones do. I have a dog business and when I have to wash a dog upon request, cleaning their ears and clipping their nails go hand in hand after a bath and having these are a "must have"!! I'ven been using them for over 10 years!

I wish these weren't so bendy.

These were recommended by my gynecologist as an alternative to douching. They work really well and the sticks are very strong. Unless you leave them in liquid, like water/vinegar mixture, too long then the stick softens and bends. TMI, I know.

Use these to clean into hard to reach places on fans, humidifiers, etc

I did not wish to write this review because of the delicate nature for my purchase, I do this for the sake of other people. The description says these swabs can be used for ob/gyn use. I bought them to use for a vaginal wash as directed by my ob/gyn. My doctor gave me a month's supply of the swabs she had, which I didn't have any problems with. I ordered these from the Feb store, and when I used the very first one, the cotton head came off. Luckily, it was right at the opening of my vagina, and I was able to remove it. Let me just say, at this point, this "vaginal wash" takes only a few seconds (10 or less) and is NOT vigorous scrubbing, just gentle movements. Out of the box of 100, the head completely detached twice, and almost came completely off an additional 4 times. Keep in mind that every time I used one, I was tense and extremely careful when completing the wash, and, therefore, it probably wasn't performed as thoroughly as it should have been. The Feb store actually contacted me to ask if I was satisfied with the product, when I replied, "no" with an explanation, they replied, the swabs were not intended for that purpose. A few weeks later I was contacted by the Feb store again to submit my "positive" review, that didn't happen. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product if you need it for a similar purpose. Since my original purchase of these swabs, Amazon has added another swab with the same dimensions. I DO RECOMMEND: PURITAN 808 COTTON TIPPED OB/GYN APPLICATORS. I've used at least 40 of the box of 50 I ordered, without any problems. I just ordered, and received a case of 500 of these swabs, and if they are as good as the first 40 I've used, I will be a customer for life.

This is an excellent product. It has a strong shaft which is also quite flexible, and the head sucks up dirt. Great.
