Balsa Wood Strips 1/8 Inch x 1/8 Inch x 24 Inch Long, Wooden Craft Sticks, Supplies for Engineering Model Bridges, Towers, and Airplanes, 500 Pieces

NOT for Odyssey of the Mind--These pieces are 24" long. OM rules require that any pieces of balsa used in tower construction come from pieces that are originally 36" long. 36" is the length most commonly available, and is the size of the other 1/8" x 1/8" strips offered by PITSCO. 24" is stated in the product description, but could be easily missed.

I ordered this for my students' balsa wood project. I weighed and distributed the "500" sticks, 10 sticks/student. I only have enough for 36 students, and need to buy more. (as advertised, I should have enough for 50 students, and bought this because I needed it for 40 students!)I also received them with a very tight band on both ends. All the outside balsa would was slightly dented, inhibiting the integrity of those pieces, and making them less efficient in the project. This was on top of already not having enough sticks!I will NOT be buying my remaining sticks from them.- A Math Teacher
