Works great not what I expected
Works great, I tested it outside of my computer to make sure it works before putting it in and it seem very accurate. I even go as far as putting ice cubes or hot water thought it; it seem to work idk why it has bad reviews but it works for me. I brought this because I couldn’t find any other water indicator that were in stock.

Celsius vs Fahrenheit
It works as expected.Note:I accidentally bought the Fahrenheit version first but was able to replace/return as I did not use it.My only suggestion would be to maybe add a button on the unit itself that can switch between Celsius/Fahrenheit on the fly.

Buyer Beware!
There is no information anywhere on what material this thing is made from, not even on Bitspower’s own website. And why doesn’t the product page here have a FAQ section? Seems suspicious, as if the company is trying to hide that information.I’m willing to bet it’s made from aluminum, which is probably why Bitspower isn’t listing the material. Aluminum corrodes most other metals commonly used in custom water cooling components. I noticed some corrosion on the fins of my GPU block even though everything in my loop is either copper or nickel. Well, everything except this sensor, which is a complete unknown. It’s pretty shady for the company to not disclose the material and not have any warnings about metal compatibility. Don’t buy this crap unless you’re willing to roll the dice with aluminum in your water loop. This thing is outdated anyway and doesn’t even have a flow meter built in. Bad business practices, obsolete product. Get 1-starred.

Too many ignorant people ignoring the science of water cooling loops
This gauge is accurate, but too many non-science, ignorant people buy this sensor, placing them in multiple locations in the loop, and expect to see difference before and after their radiators. You are not going to see difference. Empirical testing has shown that the temperatures at different points in the loop are remarkable similar. This is because the flow rate in most loops is high enough that the amount of heat extracted per unit volume of water is very small. You would have to slow down the flow rate a substantial amount before you could measure a noticeable difference in temperature before and after a radiator. This has been proven by multiple Youtubers like Jaysztwocents and Gamers Nexus. This is the reason why loop order of components doesn’t matter. The flow rate is so high that the amount of heat removed per second by the radiators is being spread across all the water in the loop. Please ignore the low-information/anti-science people who think they understand the thermodynamics of water loop cooling. They don’t. As long as you pump is working, you won’t see differences in temperature between two locations in the loop. The flow rate is just too high.

These are great, understand what they do.
The one star reviewer does not understand how these work and what they are for. I have 2 of them in 2 different systems and they work great and I love at a glance to be able to see the WATER temperature in my loops. Of course the cpu and GPU temps themselves in software will be way different. These are only measuring water temps which otherwise require a sensor connected to your loop and then motherboard too see it in software. And it was silly he used 2 of them since of course the water temp anywhere in the loop will be nearly the same. They are great. I’m getting another for a third system. They are the easy way to know the temp of your WATER.

Awesome
Very good quality and useful

Works exactly as needed
All it does is display the temperature, which is good for monitoring your loop to prevent over heating. It uses one SATA power cable and is ready to go out of the box. I have mine added in with a male-male short extender fitting. It can be a bit tricky to get it lined up correctly without a rotating fitting
