Seems to work well except I cannot mount my camera as the outer rubber casing to weatherproof it covers the magnetic area preventing magnetic use. After looking closely at the marketing photos on Amazon, none of them have the case on the back of the camera so they can be magnetically mounted. That means the display they are showing to customers would not be weatherproof. This deceptive practice must push this review down.

When I first hooked it to my Arlo cam it didn’t work. Moved it to a place with full sun…nope. Took cam and solar cell inside to check connectors when I realized there was a switch. My vision is very poor and I never noticed it before. Now my cam is working and recharging just fine, one month in.

Es bastante pequeño, pero se ve que carga. En el mio uso con la Arlo pro 2 y la instalación fue muy fácil. Le dejé cargando un tiempo antes de conectar al Arlo.El funcionamiento: cuando la batería llega baja de los 100% y teniendo sol empieza a cargar (veo que primero carga bateria interna del panel para de ése alimentar la batería de Arlo). Cuando alcanza 100% deja de cargar. Así se comporta y me parece muy bien pues no genera exceso de carga que puede fatigar la batería.Voy a observar mas pues tengo unos días de instalación. Me interesa ver como se comporta en días nublados.

It took some thinking on how to attach the solar panel to my gutter. I ordered gutter attachments separately. The hardware that came with the panel didn’t work well due to poor quality so I used spare hardware from another unit. Once connected, my Arlo battery drained very quickly. Within 4 hours I went from 96% to 57%. I thought the panel was defective and was ready to disconnect it. I left it on another day of full sunlight and the system started to work. I just hope it keeps working like it supposed to.

The solar panel includes a battery that will help maintain the camera battery charge. It’s a lot better than the original Arlo solar panel. It also includes a partial weather proof sleeve to cover the usb area.I have put this on my roof to help me monitor how dirty my solar panels get.I would buy again.

This was a replacement to the one that stopped working after a little more than two years.Still better than climbing a ladder to replace the battery every month.

After so many months waiting for my husband to put up and having to keep charging the camera he finally put it up and is so happy he did. Works fantastic and even when it’s cloudy it still works strong. And I could use with my Arlo camera. Love this product

I ordered this because I was starting to get frustrated going up the ladder 5x per year over my garage where the Arlo is installed - worth every penny to prevent that. The attached cable is pretty long and allows you to place this solar panel at the optimal area, even if your camera is obscured from the sun. The panel itself has an embedded battery which is recharged during the day and discharged (charge the Arlo) when the sunlight is insufficient for charging. So far I have not had any issues at all with this maintaining a charge despite not having the solar panel at the optimal location. This particular camera is located where it activated frequently, about 10x per day, so maintaining a charge is critical.Recommended!

Comes with a long code hence was very useful if you have a Arlo camera a little bit further than the code length available from Arlo PV charger panel. Got this as an alternative to Arlo PV and it is pretty good. Been using for almost a year without any issues.

I am getting this message all the time. It is a sunny day today. Direct warm sun. What the heck.

Panel worked fine. Took a little while to charge but once it's up and charging after a few hours I don't need to think about charging batteries any more.
