For the money this light is great!!!!
I bought this for my 100 gal saltwater tank. The tank only has fish no plants. It works great!!!! I bought the timer as well and while the reviews on the timer are mixed, mostly about it being hard to program. This just isn't true. It took me 5 minutes to program (it is sold separately). The supports on the light are removable (they just slide in) I was able to make them point up so that I could mount it to my lid (my tank top has a lid that opens on top for easy access), thus it was not a hassle to open the lid.The Pros:Easy to installGreat PriceLED so no fluorescent bulbs to deal withHas a great electric timer to match, white and blue light for day time. Blue for night time.

Great light for the price
I got this light for a new 75G fowlr set up. I got the tank & stand combo from petsmart and it came with a marine land light of the same style, and this one is much brighter. No where near enough for coral, but perfect for fowlr or freshwater without plants. The construction is surprisingly sturdy compared to marine land as well. I may get the timer later but for now I have it on a $3 timer from walmart and it works great for basic on off function. If you are on a budget and your live stock doesn't require high lighting this light is perfect! Heat output is minimal so I'm hoping it lasts for years to come! I'm so impressed I may get one for my sons chiclid tank too!

Warped BeamsWork 48-inch LED aquarium light
I purchased the BeamsWork 48-inch LED aquarium light hoping to replace a 2-tube florescent T5HO fixture. While the answered product questions seemed to indicate that this unit’s body was 48-inchs long and expandable with the included brackets, my unit without brackets attached measured 46-7/8 inches. The light output seemed less than my 2 tube T5HO. The main problem with this unit is that it was warped with about a ¼ inch rise in the center. The unit’s plastic and length would not allow it to lay flat.I would not recommend this LED light and if you purchase it, you may want to wait before purchasing the separate timer as Amazon, while it provided a free return for the defective LED light, charged me shipping to return the working but now useless to me timer .

What a ridiculously long journey it was to arrive at a product that does not function correctly!
I ordered this Beamswork 72" light for my new 125 gallon aquarium from topdogsellers. I also ordered the optional timer that allegedly works with it. This light itself works great (hence the 3-stars) but its compatibility with the optional timer is something you should be very cautious about attempting. If this concerns you, read on:I set the timer to turn the DAY light on during the day and (get this) the NIGHT light on during the evening and then turn off. Seems simple enough, right? NOPE!I kept waking up every morning to find the DAY lights a-blazin'! I emailed topdogsellers and, overall, the impetu has always been "you're doing it wrong". They shipped out another timer to check it. Same behavior. They had me order an entirely new 72" light and test that (do you know how big of a pain in the posterior it is to repackage a 72" long box and send back?) - same behavior. I wound up going through 2 72" lights and 3 separate timer units and, today, 2 months later, I still have the same behavior.Their attitude has been that it works fine for them. Again, customer service's general demeanor is "you're doing it wrong".BUYER BEWARE!

Really bright and cannot dim
It's a nice aquarium light, perfect size and does the job. Personally, I didn't like how bright it was and the fact that I couldn't dim it down. If there was a way, I couldn't figure it out. Instructions didn't say anything about it being dimmable either. I ended up returning because of this. My fault though. I should have read the description better. Also, it doesn't include a timer, which I thought was included. Description was confusing I guess (maybe a bit misleading?). My advice so you don't end up returning like me... Know what you are looking for in an aquarium light (there's so many options out there) and read the fine print!

Great value for the money
This light was definitely a good buy, we needed a light 72” long and this was one of the few that came in this size that didn’t cost hundreds of dollars. It is definitely a crisp clean BRIGHT light, I attached pics with natural light versus with the light on and you can see how the light makes the tank pop.I turn the blue light on at night and that looks really nice as well.Just a little advice-the light is SO bright that it ended giving my tank algae! I clean and do a water change weekly so the algae is not a maintenance issue. So I would suggest not leaving this on for several hours a day. However it is still a great value and was worth the money.
